THE THING I LIKED ABOUT LOVELOCK WAS THAT. ITS A GOOD PLACE TO RAISE YOU KIDS. AND ITS A SMALL TOWN. BUT THE THING I DISLIKED ABOUT LOVELOCK WAS THAT EVERYBODY THERE IS NOISEY AND THERE UNDERAGE DRINKERS AND GIRLS TRYING TO GET WITH YOUR MAN.

Lovelock the Ghost Town

My brief stay in Lovelock has to be the low point in my recent travels. I was planning on traveling on through to Reno, but decided to stay overnight at Lovelock. Worse luck! The entire town's populace looked like their youth had been spent in "Children of the Corn" or some other King novel. The motel looked like it was out of a Tales from the Crypt movie. I was robbed before I left town, and I could swear that I saw the perp later wearing a police uniform and driving a squad car. I hope I was wrong!
