Garfield Suites Hotel, Cincinnati

My daughter with the help of Mickdid a great job getting the right room so good spoke with Mick today and we are coming back this year to celebrate one yewar marriage the same room with all the nice things Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Due Mick thanks you are awesome

The staff is the best! This was our second visit back this time we bought the kids. When we are are in the Cincy area we would definately stay again. Our suite was clean and a nice size. Great location and staff was the best! Very friendly and knowledgable of the area. Thanks for making our vacation great!!!

I liked the atmosphere, the people.The only place I will ever stay in Cincy. Recommend it to all. Staff wonderful, Breakfast good too!!!

We stayed one night at this hotel. We thought we were getting a so called "penthouse". This was one of the ugliest rooms ive ever stayed in. It looks nothing like the pictures. That I wouldnt have minded. It was the cleanliness or rather lack of. There was grime everywhere, dirty floors, streaked windows, it was awful. We tried to change rooms but they were "booked". We stayed one night and got out of there. We apparently bought guests back with us. We are now fighting a bedbug infestation that the bug experts say came from there. It is costing us thousands to fix. I am a very clean person and will not let my home have ONE bug. If you value your home and your health do not stay here, no matter how great they make it sound. Trust me, it will be a HUGE mistake.

I spent 3 weeks at this hotel in Jan/Feb of 2010. The rooms are small apartments, and I could honestly live in one if I had too( I'm used to more space). The staff was friendly and helpful. I didn't pay a cent for parking for the 3 weeks. I had friends staying in other rooms at this hotel, and I really didn't hear of any problems. The food at the resterant was decent, and reasonable. I'll admit, I read some bad reviews before my trip, and was apprehensive when I arrived. The staff took such good care of me, I felt I needed to write a review, although it's taken me months to get around to it. Sorry about that , staff. I should add that I'm a government traveller, so this isn't my first time living out of a hotel. If I'm ever in Cincinatti again, I will stay at this hotel. For a downtown hotel in a large city, I think it was an excellent value. The only thing I found misleading was the flat screen TVs mentioned in the write up. The only flat screen I saw was in the bar at the hotel, and they wouldn't let me borrow it for the Superbowl, but they did have nice specials that day. My only other comment: if you are in the area, go to the National Air museum in Dayton, and plan on taking the whole day. It's about an hour away, and truly incredible.

My sisters and I take our mom out for her birthday every year and we always stay at Garfield Suites Hotel. We have a great time in Cincinnati. We love the hotel and the resteruant. The food is fantastic. The service is great at the hotel.Everyone is extremely friendly. We filled out a comment card and won 2 free nights so don't forget to let them know how your stay was...you might win too!

The Garfield is a little outdated and location could be a little better but for the money you can't beat the room size and service. Very large Rooms

This hotel is pefectly located in the downtown near anything that I want. I stayed at the Garfield when I went to the Bengals/Steelers football game with some of my friends. It was so easy to get to the staduim as well as shopping and food. We found the hotel to be extremely spacious and clean. It's like you have an apartment to stay in while in Cincy. We had breakfast downstairs on Sunday and it was well worth staying in the hotel to eat. Overall experience was wonderful. The staff treats you like you have been there many times before. Nice touch.

We have 3 main criteria for a hotel that we plan to stay in. Cleanliness, location to places we plan to visit and a reasonable rate for the room. We hit the jackpot with The Garfield Suites Hotel. Not only did we get the top 3, but we also had a wonderful staff to see to our needs and an unbelievably spacious suite. Our son, who lives in Cincinnati came over one evening to hang out for a bit and he was shocked at the size of the suite and especially the fact that we had a "full size" fridge. His first 2 apartments didn't have a "full size" fridge. I thought that was so funny. We were so close to everything, I could hardly believe it. In all honesty, I figured for the $99, in a downtown hotel, we would get a mediocre room and have to drive to most places we wanted to visit. Surprise! We walked everywhere. I think we took the car out twice during our stay. No need to, tons to see and do within blocks of the Garfield. Just ask the front desk for directions, they're very helpful. We have recommended Garfield Suites Hotel to everyone we know and will continue to do so. We feel confidant that those we rave to about Garfield Suites Hotel will find the same comfort, value and hospitality we enjoyed and plan to enjoy again. See you there.
