Outlook Inn, The, Eastsound

My husband and I had made reservations at another undisclosed location on Orcas Island...it was our honeymoon...and we could not fathom staying there....after looking at several other places, we fortunately landed at the steps of the Outlook Inn. The cheerful, professional, and very informative gal at the front desk was top notch!! We were able to stay the first night in their newly remodeled suites....it was outstanding! The layout of the room was just right, and the private balcony, had the most beautiful and serene view!! It definitely fits my much sought after "simple elegance"...not pretentious...but very classy! We dined at the Green Leaf cafe', which is on site....and I can't remember ever having a meal, where every morsel burst with freshness, and was cooked/seasoned to perfection...wow! Walking distance to many local shops and restaurants.

Beautiful view from a great hotel room. I stayed in a Suite and we borrowed DVD's from the complimentary library for a few rainy days on Orcas during November. The food was amazing and made with top quality ingredients. Rich flavors coupled with perfectly sized portions made the restaurant a hit for my wife and I. Orcas Island is a fun place to visit anytime of year as we discovered. The rest of the island was gorgeous and the people were friendly. Just stay away from the Main St. Bakery - the owners had their stinky dogs behind the counter.
