second rate

Obvious older hotel that needs updating. The phone in our room didn't work, we had to go to the front desk to use a phone to call out. The lamp cord in our room had been repaired with two little electric ties, looked like a accident waiting to happen. Carpeting dated, worn. Expensive but dosen't deliver the quality.

Unsanitary Conditions
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/08
The maids washed glass coffee cups in the bathroom sink with used linens and the hotel had no other clean cups for the maids to use. This is a terrible violation of sanitary standards and this hotel should be considered unsafe

We paid to sleep with the Dogs
By JoJo, 08/14/07
We prepaid for our trip through Jackson Hole Central Reservations a month in advance. When we arrived, we were put on the 1st floor, which is the basement, looking out at a construction site. For the next FIVE nights we listened to the dogs bark during the night and day. One family had 3 dogs. There were several other guests with dogs in the basement as well. The rooms were OK. The bathroom was old and in need of repair. One night I asked the front desk about the definate smoke smell outside. She did not know anything. I later found out that there was a truck fire on SNOW KING MOUNTIAN!!!!!!

A very nice trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/05
The hotel was obviously older, but well kept. It's location is good-- close to town but far enough away to be private. We really enjoyed it. Our only criticism would be that the front desk staff, though helpful, seemed somewhat irritated and unfriendly. This was consistent through our trip. They helped us when needed, but seemed so disgruntled!

Great Room - Great Price - Great Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/05
All in all, a great value. A van picked us up at the airport so we didn't have to rent a car. We stayed in a one bedroom condo which was new and luxurious. King-size bed, marble-tiled Hollywood shower, and a full kitchen with granite counter tops and SubZ fridge. The drawbacks are that SK is at the end of the bus route, so it is the longest ride to the slopes, and there needs to be better pedestrian access between the condos and the main lodge. Both minor points.

Great Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/04
The exercise room could be updated. There are only 3 machines in a small area.

Very comfortable accommodations
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/29/04
The Snow King is cozy and in a good location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, hiking trails and of course ski slopes. It is the little things that make the Snow King a great place to stay, like the 2 big fireplaces that are constantly burning and all the big comfortable pillows on the beds. I would defiantly stay there again.

Good value. Clean, cozy, good location
By Ane, 06/28/04
The Snow King is nothing fancy but it is a very good 3-star. A very good value! The rooms are clean and okay size, the staff is friendly, the furniture and carpet seem pretty new and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel has a pool, hot tub and sauna. The decor in the rooms is nice and cozy with a mountain lodge/wildlife motif.
The location is nice, really close to town but a few blocks away and tucked against the mountains. It is a nice plus that they have free shuttles from Jackson Hole Airport and into town. The hotel is also very near to the entrance of Grand Teton National Park. The only thing I would not recommend about this hotel is the restaurant.
