We have went to many countries and stayed in many hotels but this is the worst place. Hotel was very warm, even at night, with no air-con or fan. Called for assistance during the night and there were no staff on duty. Mosquitos are everywhere as well. Please do not waster your money to stay here.

This place makes you feel like you're somewhere in Europe with the Tudor architecture and nice garden. It takes you back to the old times when life is so relaxing and fine tea with scones rules over teh tarik and roti canai. Certainly recommend to take the tours even if you drive there, tour guide is friendly and experienced, and there's so much to see. Visit to the Orang Asli village is a must, as you get to learn first hand how these people live. There's no TV in the rooms, however you can still catch your favourite TV shows in the lounge adjoining the cosy fireplace. The place is well maintained, clean in every corners, with antic looking furnitures in excellent conditions. Bathroom is modern with a luxurious touch, not to mention being squeaky clean. Wake up to a view of the lake and take a refreshing stroll in the gardens just few steps away will vaporise any traces of stress left in you. The only grunt I may have is the location which is near the main road, and the sound of vehicles intrudes what would otherwise be amazingly serene surroundings.

I chose this hotel as I had always wanted to stay in a quaint looking lodge with a fireplace. The hotel turned out to be very clean and well kept. I like the fact that it has daily serving of fruits platters and roses and comes with turn down service as well. The main minus point is its location from the main towns like Brinchang which is a long 20 mins drive up and down to the winding road. One of the lows happened on the day I checked out. The lady staff was rather rude & insistent that we should paid up for the additional bed for the guest who did not turn up. I had to explain that she had failed to read the comments made in our internet booking about the cancellation for the last guest. The staff service was not as warm as I would want it to be considering that it is a small boutique hotel with few guests.

We had a reservation for 2 suites for 6 nights.When we get there the suites are very noisy near the highway, very ugly smell inside the room due to old carpets, there was no tv in the room not enought hot water to take a shower, very old furniture, sheets and blankets are very old and dirty, suites were very small and no space to walk. quite far from the 2 villages Tanah rata and Brinching plus 25 minutes drive.We had to move immediately after only 1 night and we had to pay for extra nights just to leave early from this misreable hotel. What a bad experience, its really a nightmare!.

Its a great shame. This could be a premium place in the Cameron Highlands...which it probably feels it already is and that is why we were unfortunate to receive such poor service! In any business you take the rough with the smooth. However we believed we suffered because we came at a time when they had only a 10% occupancy. Based on this we had to pre order evening meals in order for them to defrost the food (food that was charged at premium prices) and we had to be in the restaurant at a pre stated time. What I really disliked is to be made to feel that I have caused a problem. This happened on two occassions where the staff made me feel that I had inconvenienced them. What has happened to the "customer is always right" approach? We had to fit in with the staff not the other way round! Bizarre, especially as we had to pay for this privilege! Likes: 1. The potential this place has to be an enjoyable experience. 2. With the cool Cameron Highland temperatures, the log fire is a unique way to relax in tropical Malaysia! Dislikes: 1. The service and that the staff's needs come first before the customer! 2. The outrageous mark up on their average selection of wines! 3. The mattress on the bed managed to cook us. We were uncomfortably hot lying on this mattress which naturally produced poor sleep. Something you expect to get when taking a holiday is good rest! 4. The Lakehouse...well yes but I did not read anywhere before arriving that this was in fact next to a lake with a main road in between! This was naturally a big disappointment. Please understand that this could be a misleading review as we came at an off peak time and therefore we got substandard, off peak service. Maybe during peak periods the service is different. I really hope so! As a tip, I would highly recommend going to the Cameron Highlands during an off peak period. I hate to think what the traffic would be like on the slow winding roads during a peak period!

I feel the place was so perfect and the weather is suitable for this kind of lakehouse. Thanks for Ms. Kalai help n guide for the information we need. Thank u, u r so awesome

A place one wouldn't think would find in an Asian country. It was just the right place to be after visiting Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. People are great, very friendly and always ready to help, services are good. I would go again anytime.

We had a wonderful vacation and really gald that we said here. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Thank you Kalai, Param, Nathan, Loges, Mohan...... and there were rest who i cannot remember their names. They even washed our car every morning..... impressive!!!!! Can't wait to go back..... I feel rejuvenated!!!!!!

i love this place because the air is very cool, the staffs are very friendly, such as mogan..keep smile and hard working!!, mohan..what a good supervisor!!, rathika..if u smile more, u'll look more beautiful!!!.the food is excellent...and also the chef is very friendly!!the front offoce staffs also nice..param, norma, nathan, and kalai..GOOD JOB!!!! i cant hardly wait to go back to Lakehouse to have my honeymoon there (because that teme, i visited there with my big family!!!).maybe i will have a great honeymoon there, hope so..!!.well,THANK YOU!!

One of the best hotels Ive been to so far..Well maintained,exellent service,good food,perfect location which overlooks the lake...and of course beautiful garden...What else can go wrong on a perfect vacation on the hills...Keep up the good job guys.... By the way Ms Kalai you ROCK!!!!
