Had a Great Stay at the Taj in Bangalore
By Mike Tadlock, 12/16/08
Great service. Good bar. Curteous staff. Nice, modern room. Convenient location. Great breakfast buffet. Excellent taxi cab service to and from the airport. This review needs to be 30 words so I'm just going to freestyle a bit more; 'ok, here's the situation, parents went away on a week's vacation and, they left the keys to the brand new Porsche... would they mind? hmm, welll, of course not. I'll just take it for a little spin, and maybe show it off to a couple of friends..."

A great place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/07
Taj hotels are mostly all good - this one is no exception. Rooms are spacious and very clean, food is very good. Can get a little busy, especially at the weekends though (lots of parties/weddings etc).

Best month in a hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/06
I stayed here for one month for a business trip. The staff went out of there way to make me feel comfortable and help me in any way possible. Would stay here again without a doubt. The Chinese restaurant is amazing! The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and room service is great!

Not Worth Money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/05
I stayed in One of the newly renovated Rooms, Good 50" Plasma TV, Nice clean Washroom with Steam Bath. Other than that, very Noisy, Bed is not comfertable. The receiption area more look like a counter of a very tight and congested conference table. Check-in staff is realy not there to help or accomodate you on any thing. Except few, staff is not so friendly (speacially if you don't leave a tip). Definatly not worth $350+Tax a day.

A wonderful visit!
By Richard, 08/30/05
My wife and I recently stayed here for a week while relocating with our employer and I cannot say enough good things about the hotel. My overall initial impression was a bit muted as we arrived at around 3 in the morning. However, the staff was warm and friendly and eager to do what they could to help us. During our stay here, we had some special requests that would have probably driven any western hotel staff to tears. Again, I cannot say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff at the Taj Residency were. From sending their head chef to make sure the special I ordered was good to having special items picked up and delivered to our room. The hotel is currently undergoing construction so there is alot of noise from 8 to 8. The price does not really compare to American hotels, as I probably could have gotten much more for my money back home; but for Bangalore and to have a room designed to Western standards it was quite a value. I would encourage anyone to give this hotel a try and experience the warmth and friendliness from a first class staff!

Does not meet Taj's standard
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/05
Stayed in one of the new renovated rooms that had a nice TV/Sound system. Room was quite pricey at $350. Compared to Oberoi, Taj West and Windsor Manor, that are similar priced hotels, this is the worst you can get for your money. Hotel is also too close to the street and noisy.

It was awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/05
Dear sir, i visited Taj Residency on March 7,2005 at 7pm for a presentation for which I had received an invite by e-mail. The duty manager Mr Kaladhar Tirpathy came charging at me at the function hall and asked me to leave because ghe claimed that I was not invited. I showed him the proof of my invitation in black and white. The invite was addressed to me by name, specifically mentioning the time and date of the presentation and sent to me by e-mail. The duty manager insisted that I had to leave and I had no choice but to leave. This has been the most awful experience of my life. Could you please guide me as to how to deal with this traumatic experience. Thanks and regards Linda

Good for one day
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/04
The hotel is near the road so you will hear the horning of cars on the street. Room is old, good thing there is no smell in the rooms unlike most local hotel.
