Nice stay
By Mike, 10/27/11
Before coming to this location I had read reviews on the internet. Some were good and some not so good. Our visit was really nice, no problem with the room. We had neighbors who were complete jerks, yelling, screaming and apparently had consumed too much alcohol. The nice thing was, once inside our room we could not hear them. We enjoyed the accomodations, no complaints about the room all. Only negative with the hotel was, we went to the 7th floor to get ice and that machine was disgusting. The overflow tray that catches ice that you might miss hitting your bucket was loaded with mold. We went to the 3rd floor and that machine was fine. I was only using the ice to hold on a swollen ankle so it was not like I was going it in a drink. The staff was helpful with suggestions of where to eat and they were also very friendly. Definitely would stay here again. The other negative was the place in the hotel that serves breakfast. We were on a bus tour, there were at least 40 people on the tour so I feel we did the business a favor by having everyone eat there both mornings. What I thought was rude of the wait staff was one of the members of the tour asked the waitress for another glass of orange juice and she was told you can only have one glass. Those glasses are child size glasses to begin with. I just think considering that anyone paying for the buffet can have all the orange juice they want that the waitress could have given the woman another glass of orange juice. Also on our last day there appeared to be a shortage of staff because we waited over 25 minutes to be served our orders of french toast which takes like what, five minutes to make at the most?

Nice hotel for the price!
By L, 2/7/08
I chose the Imperial Suites for our vacation last year (July 2007), after reading reviews on this site, and others, and it was a very nice hotel, we have no big complaints. Sure, it's not brand new, but it was very clean. We asked for non-smoking, and we got it (we booked several months in advance and were on the top floor), and the family suite worked out perfectly - our daughter could go to bed in her own "room" (so to speak), and we were able to stay up and plan our next day. The staff was very nice, and the pool was clean, and just the right size to keep an eye on the kids. My father stayed next door to us, in a junior suite, and his room was even cleaner than ours - very nice. Our only minor complaint was to watch the parking charge - although we had two rooms, we only had one car, but they charged us the $5 a day for both rooms. I should have checked that first but didn't think of it. But, having our car right there at the hotel was so convenient (I'd read reviews that the valet service at the "higher end" hotels was horrible). This was our first trip to Canada, and one suggestion I have - make sure you convert your cash - they will take your U.S. money but give you Candadian money in exchange (which isn't that bad a deal, but slightly less than you should get - at least in 2007). But overall, we had a wonderful time, and we will stay at Imperial Suites again when we visit Niagara Falls!!

Will Return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/5/08
We spent six days at the Falls over New Years and are very pleased with the overall experience. We have stayed at the "higher class" lodges and have not found their amenities to be worth the extra price charged. The front desk staff, all shifts, were friendly and obliging. Even with numerous younger people in for the festive season the set up of the room, Executive Suite, provided sound proof protection. There were two small issues with the sink drain and a broken security latch which were rectified almost as quickly as they were reported. There are some areas that no doubt need updating such as the carpets but the cleaning staff did an excellent job on maintaining our room each day. The location is within reasonable walking distance to most local attractions and there are many fine restaurants in the immediate area. The bed was comfortable and a quick call to the front desk provided the extra pillow that we each wanted. The in room jacuzzi was clean, worked well and was a pleasant treat each day. The exercise room, hot tub and pool were a nice added feature. We are in the Falls at least three times each year and we are sure that we have found the location we shall return to on each of our upcoming trips.

I will never go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/07
Seedy and miserable is a beeter title for this establishment. I got off the elevator and was immediately choked by the amount of smoke coming from the room directly across from mine, where a party was taking place. I had asked for a non-smoking room and was shocked that I was given a smoking room. Someone else's luggage was still in the room when we got there, my 5 year old found numerous bottles of prescription drugs in one of the drawers and when my husband asked to have a new room ( I have asthma, and we had a 2 month old with us), he was lied to, and told that there were not any available. When I went down and demanded a refund miraculously a nonsmoking room opened up! The place is run down and dirty! Don't waste your money.

great rate for the location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/07
Our stay here was a good one. The price was great. The room was very spacious and clean. The location is great, close to the Niagara casino and Clifton hill. Can't get a suite any where else for such a good price. The manager was there the day we checked in and was very helpful considering we didn't have reservations. They even let us check in early. It's not the embassy suites but neither is the price. I would recommend it to friends and family.

We can't wait to go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/1/07
This is our family annual trip to Niagara Falls. ON. When we come to the Falls we always book the Imperial Hotel and Suite. If we had a problem with the room we would go downstair and talk to the desk clerk and in within 10- 15 minutes the problem is corrected. The staff is very friendly. The hotel & suites is within walking distance of alot of the attractions such as Clifton Hill, Casiono and the Maid of Mist. I will stay again when we return in August 2007

No frills accommodations
By Terry, 3/30/07
The hotel is located within a 15 minute walk to the Falls. Restaurants are attached but are pricey for the atmoshpere. Our room had a wet dog smell but the air conditioner helped that. Free internet access in the lobby. $5 fee for parking your vehicle. If you are on a tight budget this would be OK. This establishment is not in the same class as the more familiar 'Suites' hotels in the USA.

A decent value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/30/07
The hotel is within walking distance to the Falls. This is a no frills lodging. There was free wireless internet access in the lobby. Restaurants are attached but a are a little pricey for the atmosphere. The room we stayed in had a odor like a wet dog had been sleeping in the room. There is a parking fee for your car, $5 at the time we visited in late March.
