Friendly staff and great location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/10
Spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff, view of pyramids from our balcony! We stayed here with our teenagers and found it to be a great location on the Nile, walking distance to the Egypt Museum, and part of a great vacation. Not inexpensive, but worth it.

80s style building, astroturf patio
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/09
The restaurant was really good (the middle eastern one, not the american buffet), the prices were very good, the building was not really a 5-star or 4-star by my standards. I felt isolated from experiencing Egyptian culture, because there is nowhere to wander and explore in that area. It would be good for a couple for this reason. the room was spacious, room service inexpensive, salon services expensive but i think the price may vary if you are smart about it. Half the staff or more can fluently speak english.

this hotel is horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/09
I just got back from a week vacation in Cairo. I stayed at this hotel. Where do I start? From the front desk service, house keeping to restaurants, they were equally horrible. First the front desk staff were rude and inconsiderate. They provided no help at all when asking about taxi costs, or Cairo attractions. I had to call house keeping service all most everyday for towels or soap. The restaurants were too expensive and the foods sucked. We had to eat at the four season hotel down streets. It is definitely not worth the price.

expected better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/10/07
for $194 per night would expect the plumbing to work. the service could be much better. Repairs requested were not made and I really noticed the male superiority in staff members.

Great View/ Great staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/07
Extremely polite and friendly staff, starting from reception desk, and finishing with housekeeping staff, waiters in cafeteria near reception, are great. I was in the past in nicer and more modern hotels, but view from my room, and the staff in hotel, that is something you can’t find elsewhere. I and my family enjoined every single day, I will recommend to everyone room 753, you just need to come and seat on the balcony in any time of the day, and you will understand why I am writing this.

Just returned
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/16/07
My husband and I have just returned from a 7-day stay at this great hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The room was lovely--overlooking the Nile. We spent the end of each day sitting on the balcony enjoying the view. We had a wonderful guide, Mohamed Mogahry. I would highly recommend him. He is a wealth of information. We would definitely return to this hotel. Marsha Wiebeld, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Skip this one

AVOID THIS HOTEL The room was dingy and the bed spread smelled musty like body ordor. The gym wasn't that great and don't waste your money on a massage. The staff was not that helpful and the parking staff was down right rude.

The best of the BEST!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/06
My husband and I went on our anniversary. They had The most beautiful ,divine chocolate cake sent to our room. We changed rooms twice in a day and they were the most pleasant and happy to do whatever it takes to make you happy. All the staff from the cleaners, reception to the doormen ..EXCELLENT! I must ssy I am very hard to please but this was exceptional and beautiful and professional. Theres just so much to brag about. We travel throughout the world twice a year and this has been the best and most affordable. Very safe .Police are in and out the hotel 24 hrs.GREAT is all I can say. Theres so much to do and the most beautiful retaurants with equally nice people. There is no choice in Egypt theres just Semiramis Anesha Kalicharan (South Africa)
