Absolutely charming fairytale castle in the heart of woodland, in the heart of France. Don't look for a minibar, a casino, or Americanized "luxury" - this is the real deal: living the way nobility always has, with aesthetic beauty, history, antiques and romance. To fully appreciate your stay, read up on the "Auld Alliance" of the Middle Ages between Scotland and France. Dinner at the "Maison d'Helene" on the castle grounds is a bit pricey, but well worth the excellent cuisine. A stay at the castle is a real bargain.
