Hotel Dominik am Park

The hotel is both lovely and modern, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and a restaurant with a garden terrace. The hotel is situated on a park that sits astride the confluence of two mountain streams and the view is mountains and medieval cityscape in every direction. The staff (the hotel is family owned and run) is extremely friendly and helpful and all spoke German, Italian, and English. The rooms are well appointed and very clean with wonderful large bathrooms with shower (and some with bath) and a comfortable bed, chair, and desk. Other rooms have balconies and there are suites available. The breakfast (0700-1100) is a splendid German-style assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, yogurts and cereals, and breads. But the coffee is clearly Italian. The cappucino and expresso were 'to die for'. After a full day of sight-seeing I could expect to return to the hotel and be catered to or left to my own devices as the mood struck me. I would return without hesitation to this lovely hotel.
