My room was ready when I arrived. Check-in was a snap. The hotel was perfectly located for me. I would stay there again. It was my first stay at that hotel, and I was very impressed. It's a bit off the beaten path, which made it more desirable. Easy to find. The pool and spa and fitness area were closed for a 2 week renovation. But, that was made clear when I booked the reservation, so I was not disappointed. I had not planned to use those facilities during my stay anyway. Thanks, Gene

The service was great. The front desk staff was very helpful. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only complain i had is that you could hear sound of the airplane taking off some times but it should be no problem given the fact that I am actually a light sleeper and I could live with that. and there were not much flights during the night anyway.

From the moment we went to our room this hotel was a disaster. The front desk "upgraded" us to a suite. When we got to the room, the walls were actually vibrating from a party below. That they tried to pull this shoddy trick, especially after we requested a quiet room after our transPacific flight, is really poor. We tried calling to request a room change and were hung up on. We trudged back down to the front desk to find they had tried the same tactic on the other couple checking in when we did. We received another room that was somewhat less noisy but not totally quiet. I've written to DoubleTree and they apparently don't care enough to write back. Makes me wonder who is writing these "glowing" reports about this property.

Quiet location, near airport, great rooms and staff. Quick to the beach and central to most of the LA area atractions. Great home base for touring LA if you want a safe clean area.

Staying at here was a great idea. Location was excellent. Not to far from the airport but yet quite. Not far from the golf course and resturants. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Well,room was clean and neat! Room service was great! However, vending maching on my floor was not working. (took my coins,,,duh)and Some of front desk clerk were kinda rude. Even though some of them were really nice.(few of them took blame for all this!) Anyways, this hotel is ok to stay for 1~2nights.

The Sweet Dreams bedding and free parking make this hotel one of the better values near LAX.
