Wonderful Crab Cakes in the Aqua Grille Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/11
Didn't stay over. Just had an early snack: crab cakes with salad. I was not a crab cake fan but wanted to eat seafood and that's all they had. So glad I tried them. I might even go back to beg for the recipe. The salad was fresh. Very nice meal. Quick service.

Great place to stay ... Priceline it ;)
By nick, 1/23/10
Great staff, very accomodating. At first horrible bed in first room, after contacting front desk they moved us to a bed with a sleep number king ;) No ice on 2 floors, but woman at front desk ran to get us ice and 2 free magical cokes. All these bad reviews are unjust and ridiculous. For the price and location, not a bad deal at all. Don't trust them. For the price, great place to stay. 40 bucks ;)

Would never stay here again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/09
We had tickets to a show at Mohegan Sun so, as the hotel had a shuttle and it was a *Radisson*, thought we couldn't go wrong by staying there. Wrong! Not enough room here to list everything that went wrong but the first thing that struck us was the front desk staff who were inept, gave us wrong information about the shuttle (more than once) so that we had to wait an hour and a half lat at night at Mohegan Sun for the ride back. They generally seemed to lack in intelligence and basic common sense. We stayed there 3 nights and the only 'cleaning' that was done to the room was that the trash cans were emptied; they did not take away the pile of used towels that were on the floor next to the trash, nor did they clean the sink and shower or make the bed. We had to stop a cleaner with the cart in the hallway to get fresh towels. The food in the restaurant was awful, barely edible. One last thing, there was an unpleasant odor in the hallway leading to our room. Our experience at this awful overpriced hotel ruined our trip and we would never stay here again.

Poor customer service
By GADAWGS, 8/19/08
With the exception of the front desk, the service was poor. The restaurant service is very bad and the price/value poor. We stayed 2 nights, and dirty towels were left in the bathroom, and no clean towels added. This is a nice upscale hotel and the help should be of the same standard, but it is not.

Not worth the rate
By Anacelia M, 8/8/08
I was very disappointed in this place. We have always wanted to stay in a "luxury" hotel but this wasn't it. Thank God my husband owns his own online travel agency because we paid half of the regular rate for two double beds that were sleep number (those beds aren't any different from regular beds to us, slept the same as sleeping on an air mattress). The rooms DO NOT come with microwave or fridge, that is extra ($10/night), and housekeeping (unless you complain) are lazy. The shower curtains do not stay closed unless you stick the hook in the shower rod (which curves not straight), we had a leak in our bathroom, oh and most of the stations (on TV) weren't that clear or didn't get them at all. They failed to tell us that we were to get free breakfast during our stay; one of the housekeepers told us as we were checking out. The regular rate was like $189 but we paid like $69 or something like that a night. We wanted to stay another night but they wouldn't give us the deeply discounted rate we had before so we ended us staying at the Knights Inn in Groton (which was so much better for a little less; came with microwave and fridge as well as high speed internet access and it was clean pretty much) oh yeah the parking could use some improvement as well. It does have an indoor pool and mini-fitness center (which we never got the chance to utilize), so that is the upside of it, but the staff at the front desk could use some more customer service training (the woman who checked us didn't even ask us how was our stay which was the front office manager, the woman who checked us in was good though, wish I knew her name). Bottom line, if you want luxury do NOT come here.

The Truth about Radisson Revealed: Unprofessional Employee
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/4/08
I lived at the Radisson for a semester when i was at college and i wanted to stay longer but a relationship i had with an employee there, ruined that for me. This Bartender who turned out to be nice in the beginning, got along well with me and liked me so much she wanted to be my friend. So she fratanized with me, had a very verbally abusive conversation with me on the phone yelling at me when something had gone wrong in her life that day, and i tried to do something nice for her to cheer her up and make her happy the next night, and she meanly pushed me away for no reason and i did nothing to deserve it. I even told her i would forgive and give her a second chance and she didnt take the kind gesture that she never deserved in the first place. If you go to the Radisson Hotel and vist the bar, avoid people that seem nice and sound great because in the end they're all just going to turn out to be FAKE!

Terrible service
By DO NOT USE!, 7/1/08
We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the Coast Guard Academy. We needed to be there very early - 6am. We arrived the day before and were told that although we had booked 2 double beds/non-smoking room, only our reservation was guaranteed, not our room request. Their housekeeping staff was very late getting the rooms ready and we were rudely asked to come back after 4pm to check in, which would could not do. We had to settle for what was available. When we finally got our room, it had only a king size bed. Not good for three people, one of whom was a 6'!" 195lb teenager! They only had a smoking room available w/ two double beds. They grudgingly offered to bring up an ionizer. After two phone calls, several hours apart, we never received the ionizer. The rooms have nothing except a bed, bathroom and TV. Nothing special. At checkout, the attendant would only tell me to call the Director of Operations if I was dissatisfied. Will never stay here again.

Not very friendly
By Eric, 5/30/08
My fiance and I stayed over Memorial Day Weekend. The location is great, as it's close to a number of sights. However when we arrived, our room smelled of smoke when we requested a non-smoking room. We went back to the lobby to request another room. The woman at the front desk said the hotel was sold out and would only have facilities open a window and basically ignored us. Unacceptable. I complained and was ready to walk out the door until the gentleman, whom I assume is the manager, finally looked in a computer and gave us another room. The elevators are insanely dirty and the room's AC unit was not working. I would not recommend staying here.

I stay here for work
By KaraM, 3/6/08
I think this is an excellent hotel for the value. Right in the heart of downtonw New London. I have been here two weeks and not had a problem. The restaurant is excellent, pricey, but that's to be expected at a hotel restaraunt. The rooms are clean and the staff really tries to make your stay as nice as possible.

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/14/08
The Radisson was a great place to stay if you're going to see a show or gambling at Mohegan Sun. The front desk staff were very nice and the room was great for the price. I got this hotel on priceline.com for $60 a night! They have a nice gym and indoor pool. They have a shuttle that runs to Mohegan Sun every hour on the hour until 1:30am for only $10 round trip. I highly recommend this hotel.
