Rockaway Beach Resort, Rockaway Beach

Anyone who hasn't been for awhile and was not satisfied, should give it another try. They have done a beautiful job of remodeling. Only place I have found that is this close to the Ocean. I was there in October and will be returning this week. Yes, some of the staff could use some hospitality work and the manager is working on this. It is so relaxing there. Many things to see and do or just stay in your room. The Winter months bring fantastic Ocean waves. Try it once and you will be hooked.

This place is on a secluded beach and we visit every year. Everyone is always nice and there are a lot of things to see and do. The rooms are always clean and service is nice. The weather is sometimes cold and foggy, but generally nice this time of year. All in all, it is a great place to visit to unwind and relax. I recommend it.

The location was great, we were righ on the beach and enjuyed a winter storm from our sliding glass door. The hot tub (a major attraction for me) was broken during our stay which was an entire week. The rooms were decorated in 1971 and not updated as of yet. In our main bathroom there was a two foot by two foot hole in the ceiling that was a little bit creepy. All in all we would not go back.

Since I was little I remember camping on the Oregon Coast with my family. Time flew by and after several graduations, weddings, and new babies, it was time to return to the coast for some family time. By now we have grown from a family of 12 to 20. Who could accommodate such a large group? The Rockaway Beach Resort provided us with rooms that fit a large family. We had access to washing machines, a fireplace to warm up after being on the beach all day, and comfortable place to sleep. I rate this resort at 3 stars - it fit our family needs and we will be returning!
