Riverstone Lodge, Townsend

We loved our stay at Riverstone Lodge. The owners were friendly & went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Bluegrass music on the deck around the fire on Saturday night was great. Nice clean room, beautiful grounds, clean pool and excellent food at the restaurant next door. Price was very fair. We will be back to Townsend & we will be staying at Riverstone Lodge again.

Cleanest room I ever seen. Family atmosphere. Great swimming pool. The nightly fire and Fri & Sat night music was so nice. We could not have asked for a more accommodating family than Terry & Belinda. The Riverstone Lodge is a gem in Townsend. We will be back. Thank you for such a nice place. We loved it. We discovered this little cozy hideaway while out driving around. It caught our eye. We found the atmosphere so warming and inviting. A peaceful place to relax and know we have a place to go to when we go to the Smokies. It's in a great location for seeing the sites. We like the privacy. The area is spectacular going to and from the Smokies. We highly recommend it and that's where we always stay. We are treated so nice and welcome. Like the restaurant there too. So convienient. If you want all the glitz and glamor, Gatlinburg is your place. But if you are looking for a classic motel in the fine tradition when you and the family piled into the station wagon and got out at a motel for a week of fun and relaxation, this is your place. Fabulous value and the most warm and helpful hosts. Terrry and Belinda will take care of you, down to orienting newcomers to Townsend and the Smokies. The RL sits right near the Cade's Cove entrance to the park, nestled between Rt. 79 and the river. The rooms are very comfortable and clean (#15 was great!). The Riverstone Restaurant next door, said by all the locals to be the best eatery in town, gives you 10% off upon presentation of your room key. Music is easy to find at the Lodge, the Riverstone Restaurant, or just a piece down the road at the Heritage Center or the Dulcimer Shop in Townsend. Location, good value, traditional values, comfort, and friendly all around. Bring the kids, bring the folks, even bring the dog or your Harley hog. You'll love it here and be thinking about coming back as soon as you leave.

We stayed at Riverstone Lodge 6-6-09 thry 6-9-09, in room 16. We absoulutely loved it. It has a small private balcony overlooking the bonfire area, where a bluegrass jam was taking place. The room was nice as well as the pool. There is a nice resteraunt next door. The lodge has tubes available for rent. The owner was very accomadating. He dropped us off up river and was waiting for us when we floated up to the lodge. The owners are very good hosts, they helped us with what to see and how to get there. My wife, my 2 daughters and myself would love to go back!

We have stayed in the lodge and we have stayed in annies and we have stayed in Jack's Shack. We have even stayed at there new place, Scenic Motel. By the way is also nice and clean. Fire pit there to. Everything is always wonderful. The Owners are such sweet people. They are always trying so hard to make sure that everyone is having a great time. I hope one day everyone will get the chance to meet them. I just hope they will have a room for us somewhere. These are some great American people who know how to treat you. If you are looking for a home away from home, one of these two places are it.

Would not recommend this room to anyone. Don't plan to stay at this lodge any time in the future, Carpet was dirty in spots. Shower curtain was covered on the inside at the top with mildew. Wall paper over shower was falling down. Stopper in sink would not hold water. The only good thing about this visit were the owners. They were very friendly and helpful.

The people were very friendly and accomodating. We loved the deck and the fire pit. Their slogan is right...The peaceful side of the Smokies.

Well, we are staying in Jack's Shack now like we have many, many times. Just now find out we could post something about it on line. Good thing we did. We have always had a good experience here. We check out tomorrow. Whatever the problem might have been, sure could not find any problems now. This must have happened during winter, because thats when those things normally would happen. Anyway, wouldn't want anyone to miss out on a good time here at Jack's with the wrong idea.

Riverstone Lodge is great, people/owners are fantastic. Jack's Shack has mice everywhere, gas logs didn't work, commode wouldn't work. Something very wrong here.
