See you next year!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/07
What can we say about Moseley Cottage Inn? We were lucky enough to be introduced to this cozy treasure in August of 2005. We spent a week enjoying our room relaxing, hiking, biking, running and eating. Without the retreat of Moseley it would never have been the same. Our stay was perfect. SO as soon as we had another chance to travel back to Acadia we knew there was nowhere else we would want to stay...even on our honeymoon!! If you are looking for glamour you won't find it here...However, if you're looking for warm, kind innkeepers, knowledge about the area, and a place that is clean, charming, AND affordable, this is your place. Breakfast is fantastic, the location is perfect (just down the street from the center of town, but far enough that there's no hustle and bustle nor noise), and the service is unmatched. Thank you Chris & Christine. See you next summer!!!

best trip ever
By Meghann, 10/24/06
My significant other and I took trips to Bar Harbor for parts of the last two summers. We loved the warm staff, the great breakfasts and the pretty, bright, clean and quiet rooms. Would recommend to all.

Definately A Keeper
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/06
This Bed and Breakfast was wonderful. The house itslf is lovely. I especially like relaxing on the spacious front porch. My room had a fireplace and its own private porch. Breakfasts, served in the formal dining room, were delicious. The ambience and helpful attitude of the owners made my stay a great experience. Christine and Chris know the area well and go out of their way to help you get the most out of your visit. The location is great. I park my car on arrival and uaually walk (along the ocean, shopping, and even dining.) I highly recommend a stay here.

Happy Days at Moseley Cottage
By acadian, 10/12/06
Everything I said above! Five stars! I find the innkeepers here accomodating and personable and I love the breakfasts they make. It's hard for me to think of specifics here because I like everything here so much. I'd have to say that I'm particularly impressed with the variation of the menu -- each day I get a new treat and a bunch of baked goods. The history of the house is interesting, too and staying in a place where you feel immersed in a "bygone era" is a treat. I come here twice a year, in the spring and the fall. For me this takes a drive of 400 miles each way and this is well worth it. I also appreciate that Chris and Christine are avid hikers like myself and we can compare notes and give eachother recommendations of great hikes. They have a number of resources about the park at the inn, too. Christine grew up in Bar Harbor and she knows the park really well. Even though this in is in Bar HArbor where you can walk to everything, you're out of the madness of town and can sleep well. It's on such a quiet street! This is a unique place with the ambience of a caring family with the professionalism of a hotel. This is not the fanciest place in Bar Harbor, but it's a place you'll feel at home in.

Good People, Good Times
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/06
My wife and I have stayed here twice and plan to return every year for as long as we can. The house is spectacular, the rooms large and comfortable, and the service outstanding! The managers were warm, friendly, and attentive to our every need. They helped us find everything we were looking for in town and made sure we went to the best places in Acadia National Park. Best of all, they made us feel like we were in a home away from home. We give them our highest recommendation and recommend this Inn to anyone who loves a cozy B&B as much as we do.

Perfect Escape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/19/06
The Moseley Cottage was the perfect escape. The cottage itself has a very vintage feel which fits perfectly in with the area. The rooms were well decorated and provided a good amount of space. You feel much more of a home atmosphere while still maintaining your privacy and personal space. The staff is very friendly and informative. The directed me to some great restaurants, trails for hiking, and areas of interest to check out. I had an extremely relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Decent place to stay
By Brunswick Resident, 6/12/06
I stayed here three times, on three separate trips when I had company coming to visit me (I live in Maine) and I wanted to take them to Bar Harbor/Acadia NP. I had two challenges: 1. I was on a budget. 2. I needed two beds and it's very difficult with B&Bs to find two beds. The Moseley cottage has at least one room (I stayed in it all three times) that has two double beds, and that's rare. The location is good, it's in walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor/the town green unless you are old, infirmed, etc. The first two times I stayed here I was very happy. The third time I felt like the room was showing signs of "wear and tear" and needed new shower curtain, new towels, new bathmat etc. I was a wee bit embarassed as my guest on this trip was a world traveler who has stayed in some very nice hotels, and I felt that maybe I hadn't picked a nice enough place for her visit. I will admit that one thing that motivated me to post this review is the fact that there are so many five star reviews on this B&B. I get very suspicoius when I see a slew of reveiws of any place that are 100% positive with not a single bad thing to say about a place. It makes me wonder if the reviews are in fact real travelers or the innkeeper's friends or "planted reviews." This is a nice, clean, affordable place to stay, but if I was looking for a high-end B&B with high-end luxury and all the amenities, I'd look somewhere else in town.

"It's just like coming home!"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/12/06
We come to Bar Harbor almost every year and we always stay at the Moseley Cottage Inn. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else! Besides being a great and reasonable value, the house and rooms are always clean and beautifully decorated in this lovely old Victorian home. The breakfasts are delicious and reflect regional favorites. The location is just perfect. It is at the edge of the Bar Harbor business district so it is quiet, but very conveniently located to all the shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions. The owner/managers are always helpful and accomodating and they take a personal interest to any and all of your needs. They always make us feel like family. As we said, "It's just like coming home!"
