The Brafferton Inn, Gettysburg

We stayed here for New Year's several years ago and were very happy with the room. Everything was clean and we had a nice view of York Street from the room. The breakfast was excellent and the owners were pleasant to speak with. I will definitely go back again!

The Brafferton Inn was a wonderful experience for my husband and I during our 3-day stay there. The owners were very helpful with touring & restaurant information, and the Inn was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The parlor area was a cool respite from the tremendously humid weather we were unfortunate enough to be experiencing during our stay there. The rooms were absolutely charming! We stayed in the main house in the Hoke Room with an attached full bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and had extremely high quality sheets that kept us cool and comfortable throughout the night. The only negative was the window air conditioner was very loud during the night, but with all the other "positives", I can live with that, especially since that wouldn't be a problem during cooler weather! I can't say enough about the wonderful gourmet breakfasts, which included some of the best baked goods that I had ever tasted! Looked forward to breakfast every day! We had our pick of 3 serving times, which suited our schedule just fine! Great service, nice clean rooms, attractive large private garden area out back to relax in after a hard-day of walking the battlefields. Great location only 1/2 block off of Lincoln Square. Parking not exactly on-site, but very nearby and very convenient. Would highly recommend this Inn for anyone, but especially for couples in their 30's and up.

My husband and I have been to the Brafferton Inn on 3 occasions.The last was Oct. 2006 and at that tme we introduced friends of ours to the Inn. We are going back on April 9 and are looking foward to this. The owners of the Inn Brian, Amy, and Joan are the most wonderful people I've ever met. They can't do enough for you and they feel more like family. The breakfast they make are sinful, fattening but delicious. We have been going every year in April & October and will most likely do so for years to come. We do take other vactions but this is the most relaxing one. Now when we go up to Gettysburg we have another little one to see. Brain and Amy's little sweetheart Lily. She is just as pretty as her name. What a wonderful place and a real piece of history. We've been to Gettysburg several times before but our stay here was the best ever. Great service, great location, great value, great food, and really nice people! We'll be back for sure. Barb and Bill Phoenix, AZ
