LOOOOVE IT!
By momoftrl, 01/30/10
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The lobby area is HUGE and has a great fireplace in the sitting area with a big screen tv. the staff was super friendly and the rooms, although basic, were very clean and comfortable. i loved using the hot tub after a long day of shopping, and the breakfast was a great way to fuel up for the day. i will definately be going back!

Bad Service, Dirty Rooms, Poor Amenities...
By Fiona, 01/25/10
We stayed here as it was cheap and close to North Conway. We were not expecting much due to the low price but we were expecting the rooms to be clean and the staff friendly. They were not. The staff were unhelpful, the rooms were dirty (the mirror had toothpaste on it, the tub had hair in the drain, the carpet needed to be cleaned, and there was dust everywhere), and the amenities which looked good on the website were old, outdated, and in many cases broken or not usable. Breakfast was cold and stale. We will not be coming back nor can we recommend this place to anyone. Oh, I forgot to add that the rooms must have paper thin walls because we could hear a couple having sex in the room next to ours...not really something you want your kids to fall asleep to.

Nothing good to say
By HeatherD, 07/27/08
I was very disappointed in the suite we rented. The rugs were disgusting. The fridge and a/c were both not working. The sliding glass door did not work. Our room was not ready until 1 1/2 hours after we were told we could check-in. The staff at the desk was not helpful. They came to fix the fridge after we called three times. They couldn't fix it so they unplugged it and wheeled in a mini fridge that didn't fit half of our stuff. It is very discouraging to spend this kind of money on a suite and have it all be bad. I will never stay at The Green Granite again.

great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/24/08
As soon as we walked into the hotel they were so accomodating and helpful. The room was outdated but the bed was comfortable and room was big with a fridge. It was a great room for the price. Nothing fancy just comfortable. It had a indoor pool with a jacuzzi and had it all to ourselves since it was the quiet time up there. I will definitely go back there again.

If you want to get ripped off.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/07
How to ruin a great vacation in New Hampshire, get ripped off at the "Green Granite Inn" in North Conway! We paid 3X what the room was worth, but then we booked in late. With the large Factory Outlet stores, all the hotels get booked up early so you pay an arm and a leg if you get there late. The room was not clean, very noisy, and for well over $200.00 they didn't even supply a box of Kleenex. Stay clear of this one....

Most over-priced mediocre hotel ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
First their website double charged me for my room. They offered no help with this and suggested I go do it myself at my own bank. Thanks! Second the "Family Movie Night!!" ( a reason we picked it) was canceled. The projector was broken. Thanks! Third the "wireless internet" wasn't working. Sorry, these things happen. So now we can't get onto the web to do the work we need to do at night so we can be on this vacation in the first place. Thanks! Fourth the "Buffet" was a continental breakfast, a sub par continental breakfast. Thanks! Fifth the "extra kids activities" don't exist. There's a big room connecting the halls...wow. Thanks! Sixth the scenic balcony faced into a tree overlooking the parking lot. Wow that was nice. Thanks! This hotel is so over-rated it's sad. We paid $170 (oh, plus the over $2090 they charged us on their website) to stay at a hotel with no view (the pictures on the website are angled) a country setting (read grocery store parking lot, main road. There are MANY other beautiful hotels in this area. This is not one of them. I don't mind paying $200 a night, it's what I expect to get out of that $200. Like what I am told to expect. I'd pay $70 tops for this place, but then I wouldn't stay here given a chance. Oh it was just bad :(

Just as good as the big chain hotels but costs less
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/07
We went in person to the Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, and Holiday Inn. The Green Granite Inn was just as nice and modern as those others, their indoor heated pool was larger, and their rates were more reasonable. Bob, at the front desk, was extremely nice, and knowledgeable about local restaurants. It was the most comfortable hotel mattress I've slept on in 20 years. Located at the south end of North Conway near Applebee's and the Outlets. We would stay there again.

sadly disappointed
By Maureen, 08/27/07
I just stayed here one night ago. We were told that the only thing available was one of their condo's. So in need I took it for $265.00 for the night. The room had a terrible odor. The ac did not work in the bedrooms. The rugs were filthy. I have stayed here many times with my family I will not return under any circumstances. I would rather sleep in my car then sleep in this again. sorry...

Can't wait to go back!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/06
We visit every year with our kids. This time I came with a friend of mine to do Christmas shopping and again everything was great. The room was very clean. The pool and hot tub were very clean also. The front desk people were very helpful. It is also a great value. Can't wait to come back in a couple of months.

dont get a suite
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/06
We stayed in one of their 2 bedroom suites. Not Impressed! The carpet was very stained, The furniture was stained, and housekeeping left our sliding glass door open while we were gone for the day. And we were on the first floor! When contacting the front desk about the door being left open they did or said nothing about it. No big Deal apparantly! To sum it up, We would not stay there again!
