The Fairbanks Inn is my home away from home!
By Brenda, 05/28/09
Staying at the Fairbanks, owned and run by Kathy and Alicia, is a totally positive experience. From the moment I arrived, the relaxing atmosphere and genuine welcome started my vacation on a happy note. The gracious and elegant Fairbanks Inn offers charming and genuinely helpful hosts. The homemade muffins, granola, and other delightful breakfast items start the day on a bright and happy note. Any questions are readily answered by Alicia or Kathy and one cannot be anything but totally satisfied and relaxed while a guest at the Fairbanks Inn.

My Home Away From Home!!
By Brianne, 04/22/09
Upon arrival I was greeted by two very hospitable and gracious hosts who made every effort to accommodate me. My room was quaint and inviting with soft clean linens and quarters. The wood stove was a nice added touch after a long cold drive. I really enjoyed the unending hot water shower and welcoming packet filled with all I needed for my visit in p-town, although the extensive DVD collection made it hard for me to want to leave my room. In the morning I woke up to the aroma of home made baked goods and fresh coffee. The innkeepers welcomed me like family, something unheard of in this day and age and was happy to give me a full tour of the inn and lovely grounds. There was a pleasant quiet peace about the inn. I am thankful for the restful sleep I received. Not only am I looking forward to my return but I hope others have the opportunity to enjoy it as much as I have!

Fantastic Stay at The Fairbanks Inn
By Mary, 02/28/09
What's not to like? This is a lovingly maintained historic b&b right in the center of town. My room was beautiful and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was generous with many delicious choices. Yes, the muffins were fresh baked and yummyI While I could close my eyes and imagine myself back in colonial times by the fireplace in the common room, I appreciated all the modern conveniences, the wifi internet access, the tv/dvd players, the free parking...and Provincetown is a great place for a weekend getaway in the winter. It's quiet and restful, but there were plenty of wonderful restaurants to choose from and sights to see.

Wonderful Getaway
By Laura, 11/29/08
We just got back from a wonderful weekend getaway at The Fairbanks Inn. For comfort and value, this charming bed and breakfast can't be beat. Our innkeepers Alicia and Kathleen went out of their way to make us feel like family. Our room was beautiful, clean and so comfortable and the in room fireplace was a real treat. The wonders of this quaint, historic, seaside town were just a short walk of this inn, it was the perfect home base for our visit. Now that we have found The Fairbanks we can't imagine staying anywhere else in Provincetown. The homemade granola is the best we've ever had!

Fantastic Stay at the Fairbanks Inn
By Kathleen, 11/28/08
We have found our place to stay in Provincetown. The Fairbanks Inn is beautiful and the innkeepers Alicia and Kathy could not have been more welcoming. We were able to take advantage of the low fall rates. It was a wonderful value given all that the Fairbanks has to offer. The location can't be beat -- right in the heart of town, a short walk over from Commercial Street. We didn't use our car, but we were happy that the Fairbanks provided free parking. Our bed was so comfortable we were tempted to sleep in but we couldn't wait to enjoy our breakfast. Delicious muffins, homemade granola and wonderful coffee were the highlights, but there were lots of choices for the breakfast buffet. We loved our room. It had a cozy fireplace and was beautifully decorated. It was a wonderful place to getaway for romance. We can't wait to get back to The Fairbanks Inn for our next visit to Provincetown,

Definitely Will Go Back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/13/08
Had never stayed there before but will again. The cleanliness, location, quiet ambiance of this B&B cannot be matched. This is a place for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Never needed a car to get around since this inn is located within walking distance to everything. If non-gay people go, they have to be understanding of the gay/lesbian people that frequent this inn and Provincetown in general. This is truly a place where you can be yourself.

Perfect for us
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/08
Provincetown has a gay concentration. What a pleasure to find an inn that is in accord wth this. Often, we have gotten the impression that we are tolerated with reluctance. Not here. This lesbian-run establishment is perfect. Most of the guests were couples like us. There are even coffee-table books on lesbianism in the guest lounge. Nothing is swept under the carpet here. A great stay. Keep it up.

Just Perfect
By Lin533, 08/14/08
My partner and I have stayed at the Fairbanks Inn three times and we give it the best rating possible. It is very easy to make reservations through their website or by phone. . The Inn is everything they say it is and more. The rooms are clean and have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable, including free wireless Internet access. Both of the owners, Kathleen and Alicia, are on hand every day. In the morning they serve homemade breakfast and they are available throughout the day in case you need anything. They even had beach chairs and umbrellas to lend us so we could go to the beach. Sometimes we just like to relax at the Inn so we sit on their deck (The Seagull's Nest) to read and bask in the sun. The location couldn't be better. It is located one block away from Commercial Street, near the center of town. We take advantage of this by making many trips to town and back to our room each day. It is nice to meet new people and engage in conversation in the morning at breakfast if you want to. In the afternoon they have delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies and coffee which we look forward to each day. Kathleen and Alicia are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure every one of their guests has a great stay. They can recommend restaurants, and any type of entertainment you are interested in. Last year we had to give up the first day we had scheduled due to a death in the family and they were able to re-book our room with no problem. We stayed there in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and we don’t have one complaint about the accommodations or the treatment we have received. We highly recommend the Fairbanks Inn to any adults looking for a wonderful, relaxing time in Provincetown

If only we could have stayed longer . . .
By wearybusinessman, 07/31/08
This was our first trip to Provincetown and what a delight it was to arrive after a long weekend of back to back meetings to this beautiful and relaxing B&B. The Fairbanks Inn is ideally located in center of town near all that Provincetown has to offer. The staff is very accommodating without being intrusive and the food is lovingly prepared and plenty. After our initial reservation was made we decided to come a day early and unfortunately the suite we had booked was not available for that earlier night, therefore after our first night we moved into our reserved suite. We found both rooms to be immaculate and surpassing our expectations in comfort and value. We will return to the Fairbanks Inn and would recommend everyone who is traveling to Provincetown to stay at this beautiful and lovingly maintained B&B.

Magical Inn!
By 123star, 07/27/08
I have been traveling to Provincetown for weekend breaks for the past 5-6 years. It is one of my favorite destinations and I always stay at the Fairbanks Inn. I have been to many countries and stayed at many bed&breakfasts, hotels and lodges. The Fairbanks Inn is a truly magical, warm and romantic spot. Kathy and Alicia are wonderful hosts and wonderful people. It is always a pleasure to spend quality time with them. The Fairbanks Inn creates a truly magical environment. All the rooms have a very unique feel to them with beautiful and tasteful New England interiors. The Inn is centrally located and yet is conveniently positioned away from the crowds and noise from the late-night events. If you want to experience Provincetown in style and comfort and you want to be carried away to another world full of laughter, happiness and relaxation, come to the Fairbanks Inn and stay as long as you can!
