Milner - My Boston Marathon Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/08
If you are in town for the Marathon, the Milner can't be beat.
-Yes, the rooms are small, and
-yes, you should get a name when you confirm your reservation, and
-yes you should ask for a room on the south end of the hotel on nights when the Blue Man Group is playing next door in the Charles Playhouse (unless you really like the Blue Man Group);
BUT the continental Breakfast they serve sends you out to Hopkinton well-fed (self-serve fresh cooked waffles),
-and the staff is very friendly and helpful (if you treat them with respect).
- The rooms I have stayed in have always been clean, and you meet runners from Europe, South America, and Asia who appreciate a bargain.
Believe me, there is no sight so welcome as the Milner, just a short crawl from the finish line, after the race.
