Motel 6, Marina

I've stayed here 2-3 different times. This Motel 6 is in a pretty good location - near Denny's restaurant, close to the freeway (but not so close you hear freeway noise), and the staff is always friendly. My only complaint - I had four people in my room and was only provided with 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels, and 2 bath towels (2 queen bed room). Also, I was never provided with new cups each day. I had to go to the front desk to ask for additional towels and cups each day.

Goods: Rooms were clean. Front desk staff were ok. TV was working. Denny's Diner is right outside the place. Bads: Shower was really high pressure - couldn't enjoy it. Overall: Location is excellent close to Carmel, Monterey, and Sand City. This place has good value for money if you need a decent place to rest at night and are going to be out all day.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful. I traveled alone, and as a woman I felt they took an interest in my security which was nice. Room & bathroom was very clean. I am familiar with the Monterey area; when time and finances allow, I choose more expensive lodging with more ammenities for the family. If you want clean, friendly, affordable seclusion, yet close to stores and restaraunts,( plus nature with miles of walking beach), then choose this motel. Only negative is crossing the freeway to the beach, but stay safe, and it is worth it.
