Agate Cove Inn, Mendocino

My wife and I stayed two nights here when we were on our honeymoon. The Moonstone cottage (that we got) was great with a gas fire place, hot tub and a nice little porch in the front. Best of all was the breakfast served in the main building with a brilliant ocean view. And the perfect way end to any day in Mendocino is to sit on the Agate Cove's chairs out on the lawn, wrap the covers around you, enjoy a cup of tea and just let the magnificent sunset into the pacific take your breath away...

We have stayed here 3 times...incredible each time! We love the cottage "Amber" as it has a great view and we love the little wood stove. Breakfast is yummy, and the hosts are so great. Highly recommended!

we have stayed at many places in mendocino, all claim to have "ocean views" yet few are true, the agate cove inns are the best views in town. all are private beach cottages with fireplaces, the food was good and the staff outstanding.

The Agate Cove Inn is beautifully situated across Highway 1 from the ocean. The individual cabins all have front porches for taking in the view. While small, the cabins have feather beds and wood burning stoves which are great for the often cold weather in Mendocino. The breakfasts are fine - nothing fancy, but they're served in the main house overlooking the water.
