Gualala Hotel, Gualala

Yes, the place is a bit old. Yes, if you're looking for a 5 Star place, you have landed at the wrong hotel. Yes, you can walk down the hall from your room to use the restroom. It's a VERY old bar, with rooms upstairs. Similar to what you see in the western movies. What's weird to some, is perfectly normal to others, or at least, a welcomed change from the "usual", same old crowd. Why would someone go to this part of the coast to be entertained? When you go to this area, you're either there to get some much needed "quiet" time, enjoy the peaceful outdoors, and simply relax. If you whine, "there's nothing to do".... stay in the city. Gualala needs visitors that enjoy whay they have. Just wish I could enjoy it more often.

This place was horrible, and disgusting. It is very duty and the people who runs it are really weird. I will never recommend this place to anybody.

Why do you go to Gualala, my friends have asked? There is nothing to do there! I agree, "Yes, and I do it so well!" Laid back, reasonable, clean & fun. Lookin' for the Marriot and "5 Stars" - dont go, you will be disappointed. Lookin' for the perfect place to kick back, read and unwind? THIS IS THE PLACE!
