Stayed here years ago and the location and service we couldn't beat. The room we stayed in had a private deck and we could barely see pebble beach golf course. Barely seeing it was good enough for us. What a beautiful town.

We love this inn

Everything about our stay was perfect. Great sitting area with couch, chairs, coffee table and fireplace. King size bed in a spacious room that had everything including a private deck with a great ocean view. And the little touches like a courtyard fireplace and brandy at 5:00 were a real treat. It's less than a block from Ocean Ave. and a short walk to everything including the beach. We plan to return often.

Lovely

My fiance and I stayed here in September. We were pleasantly surprised by all the little touches...the complimentary sherry in the evening, the inviting outdoor fireplace magically lit every morning and evening, the friendliness of the owner. The inn is about 1 block off the beaten track (the beaten track being a tree-lined street of art galleries and al fresco dining), and was peaceful enough that we could hear the surf from our room. We can't wait to return!

Best value in Carmel

My husband and I are frequent travellers to the Carmel/Monterey area and have stayed in many of the local hotels. Without question, the Tally Ho offers the best combination of service, location, value and rooms of any hotel - including four and five-star hotels - we've stayed at in the area. Our room was enormous and wonderfully appointed with a fireplace, four-poster bed, sofa and chairs, beautiful bathroom, large deck and fabulous view of the ocean. The staff were universally friendly, offering a level of service hoped for, but rarely received. I wholeheartedly recommend the Tally Ho to anyone considering a stay in the area.
