La Mesa Lodge, La Mesa

I like everyone did not want to stay at this hotel. One because it was $40 a night and two because of the so-called negative reviews. I call them so-called b/c if they were actual customers they would be leaving nothing less then 4 stars. I also have a video of our hotel room on you tube. The service from the get go was amazing. I was greeted with a smile from 'Anal' (yes, that is his name he is from India and i think its prononuced AH-Nual. Anyways, he told me were the room was, offered me directions for dinner and asked how i was doing..not in that order but that was the jist. We we up the stairs b/c if the stairs arent cleaned then the hotel isnt. i say this b/c its the less seen area. Went to our room and it was a double queen bed a microwave, a window that opens all the way, an a/c and heater, a single sink private bathroom, a tv, and a chest of drawers. Everytime we left, we were greeted and same wen we came back. I only have two complaintes and for $40 a night...it really isnt a big deal. First, the beds are kinda hard, but if your tired which you should be if your on vacation from doing things all day then there a-ok and there is a slight indian food/curry odor that lingers in the hall ways and the stairway, but nothing to strong and im sure if i asked theyd do something about it. In short (or long) i will be staying here again and again.
