Stay Away !!!
By AB, 07/13/09
Spent 1 night in what was an OK room. Not a great area of town, but I had no major problems until I got my AMX bill. My statement showed 2 separate charges from the hotel. Both stated I was a no-show. The 1 charge was for the correct amount and the 2nd was for double that amount. The hotel never responded to my inquires. Thanks to AMX for crediting my account for the bogus charges.

Held a meeting here. To say the place was nasty would be to give it a compliment. Told my office to never book it again.

Bad, Bad, Bad Experience
By DarleneG, 08/09/08
My husband and I who have to be in Concord to work on a contract with PG&E. We reserved this hotel over the phone before actually seeing it. First of all, when we got there the neighborhood is not the best. But you can manager. However, the staff and the professionalism of this place sucks, they have no respect for their customers and do not seem to care if you come back again. My husband and I stayed two weeks and was interested in staying another few weeks as we had a 6 week contract. However, after the Asst Manager informed us that the manager/owner did not like people staying a long time, we changed our minds. Not only that but they charged our card for an exorbitant rate and we inquired why - they said oh it's the computer it does that all by itself. Which was a lie...we had already stayed somewhere else, they didn't do that and when we left to the next place they didn't do that. This caused us financial hardship as we had to make sure we had enough on the card to check in somewhere else. The manager and assistant wanted to charge us $45 a night to leave one of our cars there on the weekend while we went home knowing that we would check out on Friday and be back Sunday evening to be ready for work on Monday. Also, we came in to find missing items from our room and had to call several times for towels. All in all this was a very negative and bad experience, I was so upset I wanted to call the Corporate Office and complain about our treatment. They treated us like we were second class citizens all around and we were deeply offended. I will never stay here again and will tell all who need a nice hotel to never stay here!!!

Filthy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/08
Dirty finger marks on the door, old gum on the carpet, cob webs, dirt in the bathroom, and a sewing needle stuck in the wall. The general manager was a smart mouth and it was over priced for what it is. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!

Worst Hotel Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/31/07
After years of travel, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My flight was arriving after midnight the day I booked my reservation and (despite the fact that my reservation said they would hold the room until 7 am the next day) I called twice to confirm it, once right before getting on the plane. When I got off the plane, I had a voicemail from the same person I had just spoken with saying my reservation was canceled because I was a "no show" and my card was already charged for the night!! The night person settled it and said he would charge me only for 2 nights as compensation and got me a room, but told me this happens a lot with this particular employee. The room was missing an ashtray and had no extra pillows or towels and the neighborhood was sketchy, but we managed. Then at checkout, the same employee denied he did it, refused to apologize and called me a liar. Then he told me he would be charging me for 3 nights and reversing the adjustment. I told him I wanted to speak to the manager first because even if he credited my card afterwards, the credit wouldn't show for 24 hours and my card wouldn't be available for my car rental. He charged my card anyway. I explained the manager the errors that were made but rather than apologize he defended his employee and while all this was happening, the employee began arguing with my husband and threatened to fight him. The manager heard my husband and threatened to call the police, calling me a liar when I told him his employee made the threats!! He then assured me that my card would not be charged until I called and told him the “amount I thought we should pay.” However, my card WAS charged immediately after, preventing me from being able to pay for my car!! It was credited the next day, but then charged a THIRD time a week later, for 3 nights, despite his promise to wait for my authorization!! Needless to say, I am contesting the charge and will never stay at a Choice Hotel again!

Great deal for the price.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/23/05
The location was excellent. very close proximity to downtown Pleasant Hill shopping and easy freeway access. The rooms are clean and spacious with a kitchenette and large bathroom, closet and dressing area. The only thing to note is that if you don't want street sounds throughout the night, request a room in the back of the hotel.
