Mountain Pine Motel, East Glacier Park

We stay here every summer and have rented both the motel rooms and Ye Old House. Terry is accommodating and has great tips about local fishing holes. The rooms are always clean, there is a nice picnic area and free wireless internet, and it is quiet at night. Close proximity to Two Medicine Lake makes it a great location for star gazing, boating, hiking. Terry will pick you up at the train station in East Glacier.

We cooked a meal, made our lunches, set in comfort to visit about our day hike to Dawson Pass, and slept comfortably. "Ye Old House" is a place you can really relax in. It was very clean and very accomodating where 6 individuals could stay without stepping on the other. There were 2 bathrooms with showers. The motel owners are very pleasant and helpful. Big front room with a TV but why would you look at it when you can go a short distance to see awesome mountain sights, flowers, and animals. For a large group this is the place to be and close to Two Medicine and the "Going to the Sun Highway". We enjoyed it and would recommend it and hope to go back someday. We came from Stanford, Stevensville, Montana, and Post Falls, Idaho.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath house located immediately behind the motel that they call "Ye Old House"- which is a perfect description! It reminded both me and my husband of the older wooden houses that our grandparents lived in while we were growing up. It was clean, well kept, and it was a fantastic price! We had a full kitchen and living room and plenty of room to spread out- just what our family of 4 needed during the last 5 days of a 3 week vacation. We would definitely stay in Ye Old House again! You have to ask Terry about it when you call or email- it isn't listed on the website. We happened to find a reference to it while doing research for our trip.

Located about an hour from the St Mary entrance on the east side of the park. Room was big and clean. Owner was friendly and helpful. Would visit again.

This lovely little motel was great for our group. We brought 4 families and a few singles to work at the local Browning Reservation. Terry and the staff were super, very accomodating and the setting is terrific right next to the much pricier lodge. Although the motel is dated, it is well kept and the age only adds to the ambience. We are hoping to stay there again this year.
