Terrible Experience!!
I ignored the other reviews and went ahead and reserved a room at the Port Townsend Inn on 3/25/06 for $86. We arrived in the afternoon, and were a bit dismayed at the quarter operated vibrating bed. I didn't even know those really existed! Room was a bit shabby, trashy romance novels on the night stand, and was a suite, so it included a mini fridge with a microwave on top. Thought we'd go down to check out the pool before dinner. The pool and hot tub were actually nice, best part of the whole motel. Went back up to get ready for dinner, and there was no hot water in the shower. Went down to complain, and the clerk said to wait 20 minutes, and we should have hot water again, it happens all the time(!). Went back to the room, waited 20 minutes, and still no shower. Went back down, said there's no hot water, we'd like to leave and get a refund (we'd only been there about 1.5 hours). Lady says "Oh, the owner never gives refunds", so I asked to talk to him. She says, "Oh, there's no way to contact him, I can leave a note!" We left a note, and got a room a couple blocks closer to town at the Tides Inn, which was very nice, and had great customer service. I called the P.T. Inn in the morning, hoping to find the owner. Not available (of course) but he had left a note saying he'd settle with giving half our money back. So, that equates to a $43 hot tub and cold shower! I'll be talking to Visa to see if we can cancel that, too. Buyer Beware!
