The Evergreen Inn, Leavenworth

Horrible experience. There are so many more hotels closer to the main town at a more reasonable price. The price was way to high for the outdated unkept room.The hotel is located near a busy intersection and there was nobody at the front desk overnight so if you need anything you are on your own in the middle of nowhere till 7am! They advertised an awesome breakfast, basically cheap coffee and old stale pastries. The staff were rude and impersonal, when I needed assistance they were standoffish and acted very put out. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my life and I could honestly say this was in the top five worst experiences ever.

This DUMP is the absolute shame of a lovely town like Leavenworth- the chamber of commerce should be horrified. Don't judge any of their advertising as it's all phoney- this place has a bavarian front facade while the rest is a run down old 1940's auto court that has not had a stick of maintenance since it was built- you couldn't give the furnishings away. If anyone is thinking of this hole let me tell you please run as fast as you can away from it. Only place we have ever inspected the bed linens fo bugs and lice. This place is YUCK with a capital "F"-- Don't even think about it they don't want repeat business

My Husband and I stayed here 08//06, and it was very dissapointing. We were put in a room on the 2nd floor, with no elevator. Hard for elderly folks to get the heavy bags up stairs.The room was in need of a make over- the ice machine was missing, and the breakfast was a joke, only two chairs to sit and eat with no table.Don't be fooled by the advertisement like we were. There are plenty of much better places to stay in Leavenworth.

My wife and I went with 2 friends, expecting a 2-bedroom suite, "jacuzzi/fireplace suites with kitchens..." -Leavenworth 2006 - 2007 Vacation Guide. Another add mentioned 2 hot tubs, but there is one dirty one, which closes early. The breakfast bar was one crappy waffle iron in a room where noone could sit, a couple old pastries and some apples that looked like they'd been there for years. The place was dirty, old and run down. (We stayed in #18. Never stay in #18!) There was one bedroom with a bathroom, the other "bedroom" was a bed stuck in an open area between the kitchen and actual bedroom. The bed was right next to the (old dirty) oven! No privacy for either couple though, as the people in the open room had to walk into the other bedroom to get to the bathroom! (The bathroom door stuck really bad and was loud too.) When I pulled back the sheets on our bed there was a BIG lump of black hair and pink lipstick stains! And the fireplace... well, it was a stove style, over in a corner. Not cozy. And despite all of us having experience with this type of stove, it was so poorly installed that you couldn’t open it to enjoy the fire because it would set off the fire alarm every time. Of course we were livid and complained to a disinterested and uncaring staff. For the money, you can do WAY better than this place. Please take my word for it. Don’t ruin your time in Leavenworth with staying at the Green River Inn.

We paid over $100 dollars on this hotel during the labor day weekend. The general maintenance of the hotel was deferred. Furniture with scratches, chips, sloppy painting, poor in-window air conditioners. The breakfast was good, but there is no room if there are more than 3 parties of guests. I would pay a little more and get a comfortable room next time.
