Lone Fir Resort, Cougar

We picked the Lone Fir based on other good reviews. They must have been the owners posting them. This place is so terrible that we drove home 3 hours after our 8 hour hike just so we didn't have to stay. The room: 1. Had stairs leading to it that were seriously ready to fall apart. My huband and I decided NOT to be on the stairs at the same time. 2. The room had not been cleaned when we checked in. 3. The oven was old and did not work. 4. The "full kitchen" did not include any useable pots or pans. 5. The coffee maker did not work. 6. The toilet overflowed. 7. The room did not have: a. a clock b. a phone c. air or heat of any kind d. screens on the windows 8. The toilet was sitting in the bedroom (seriously). It was the worst stay in a hotel EVER.

We have been here several times and give it a 5 in all areas. The resturants close early around there so it early but it's well worth the trip. We are going there over the holidays.
