10 reviews for Green Gate Village Historic Inn, St. George
Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/08
We stayed at the Green Gate Village in March 2008. It has a great collection of 14 historic buildings, so you can get more privacy than most B&B. Our building even had a living room on the first floor and a kitchen with a fridge to store left overs. The buildings sit on nice compound with a good size garden perfect for relaxing. There is also a small pool and hot tub. The location is perfect right in the heart of the historic district very close to the Mormon Tabernacle. The hosts can provide excellent recommendations for outdoor activities and meals. The breakfast was excellent. We only stayed one night, but hear the menu changes daily for longer visits. We highly recommend this B&B for any stay in St. George.

Wonderful place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
We spent an absolutely charming three days at the Green Gate Village Inn. I am not a fan of St. George in general but staying at the Inn is so far from the traffic and busyiness that one can almost believe you are in a quaint New England village instead. The surrounding areas such as the Tabernacle, old school, library etc. are also interesting to visit. We loved it!

I'd go back to St. George just to stay here
By Joseph, 08/29/06
There's so much to like about the Green Gate Inn. The owners and staff weren't just friendly and helpful, they treated us like close friends visiting from out of town. The homes are comfortable and spacious. They have all the charm of the pioneer ear from which they come, with modern and well maintained electricity, plumbing and air conditioning. Breakfast every morning was wonderful. The location of the Green Gate Inn is terrific. It is right in the heart of the historic district of St. George. There are plenty of historic sites to visit and nice restaurants to enjoy within walking distance or the Inn. My wife and I couldn't have stayed at a more charming place on our honeymoon. We can't wait to go back.

a fantastic place
By Marie, 05/06/06
We came here during our trip to Zion and Bryce and enjoyed it so much that we changed our scheduled hotel to come back. Every one was extremely friendly, the bedrooms are just great and so relaxing, they have an atmosphere that give you the feeling you are home. We'll come back and recommend it to anyone who comes to Saint George.

We will come back, "Home"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/05
We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was very nice. Your not lost in the hustle bustle of a big hotel. Very laid back. The rooms have a great charm about them.

Yahoo Publishes Dishonest Reviews!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
The Yahoo "Review" system is patently bogus! Chuckle with us as you read the recent negative reviews written, not by past guests, but by our cross-town competition. In over 25 years we have received nothing but the highest praise from reviews written by our loyal, appreciative and "real" guests. Since ownership of a competitive inn changed hands recently, so have their marketing tactics. Yahoo's response? "Sue us!" We invite all who read this rebuttal to stay at the Village and judge for yourselves. Thank you. The Innkeepers

Recommended By Our Tour Company
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
This place was recommended by our tour company and we could not have been happier. What a great way to end a week of hiking and touring in Southern Utah. If you're going to stay anywhere, stay here.

Perfect Wedding
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/20/05
Just finished a 200-guest sit-down dinner/wedding reception for our daughter. Everything was perfect even though we were initially nervous and probably a little demanding. The facilities, rooms, staff, everything. It was just right. Thank you so much.

The best of both Worlds
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/05
I loved that this Inn was part hotel, part bed and breakfast. The hotel has nine restored pioneer homes offering seclusion if desired or intimacy. The grounds are lovely along with their different rooms. The staff is very accomodating and will help plan you day in beautiful St. George.

What is this place thinking?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/05
The a/c in my room wasn't working. In 110 degree weather that makes for a long day. I complained to the desk boy, and he said it would be fixed promptly. It was not fixed until 1 hr before check out. My eggs were raw & runny at breakfast. I stepped in dog poop out on the lawn. I also had to deal with the BLVD. construction. This place is not a 3 star hotel.
