Looking forward to staying here again!
By Justin, 09/24/08
You are about a mile from the Fall River entrance to RMNP and within about a five minute drive to downtown Estes Park which is perfect. The room was clean, all the staff members were friendly, and its just an excellent place to unwind and soak up the beauty of Colorado.

Overpriced motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/08
When we spoke with the owner on the phone, we were expecting a special place -- we reserved the nicest room (caretakers) and at over $200, we expected a nice cottage. Instead, this is just a motel with a fancy name -- the rooms smelled, there was mildew near the fridge on the carpet where the refrigerator leaks, the furniture is from the '80's and one recliner doesn't recline properly. Most importantly, it is situated literally feet from the only road going into the park which means it's incredibly noisy. Definitely not a relaxing place! I'm not sure what months other people went at, but we're here at high season. Also, there is no maid service (pay extra 15% for maid service) so at this price, you don't even have someone clean up! Furthermore, there are no amenities -- supposedly there are fresh baked cookies, but I was told they were out every time my child asked.

What a wonderful birthday surprise.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
I reserved the #17, upper challet for my husband and myself last January, it was his birthday. We loved staying here, the cozy fireplace at night when it was cold out was so nice, and we hiked up the mountain behind our challet and saw so many Deer in the woods. The scenery was breathtaking, and the pictures we took will always be special to us when we look at them over and over for years to come. I deffinately want to return to the McGregor Mtn. Lodge. The staff we're very nice and accomidating. Thank you for a great time. Ramona Carlson, Wellington, Co.

Love this Mountain Retreat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/06
This is a spectular place to stay. It is very close to RMNP and has great views from the cabins. The cabins are clean and very comfortable. The staff is very hospitable, they make you feel at home. When we are here it is like a home away from home. Have seen wildlife on the property and it has a playground and games for our young children. Wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Estes!!

Simply Breathtaking View
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/06
McGregor Mountain Lodge is wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating to us. They welcomed us in a very warm and friendly manor. The view was beautiful. Abundance of wildlife. Location was great. We had easy access to down town Estes and to Rocky Mountain Natioal Park. Great place for a family vacation or weekend get-a-way.

McGregor Mountain Lodge, our home away from home!
By Aaron, 11/23/05
If you're looking for a great, clean, relaxing, and affordable place to stay that is close to Rocky Mountain National Park this is it! Michael and Chris and the rest of the staff are very nice and immensely knowledgeable regarding the activities in and around the park. This is the best place I've stayed in the RMNP region! Free Wi-Fi, excellent service, very nice and clean accomodations, and great staff to serve you! Can't be beat being as close to RMNP as it is!

Couldn't Ask For More...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/05
Located far enough outside Estes Park to feel like you're in the wilderness, and a few steps from the Fall River entrance to RMNP, this place is just about perfect. We've stayed there for MANY years and the facilities and service have gone from VERY GOOD to EVEN BETTER during that time. Frankly, we can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting "Rocky".
