Never again!
This motel is Horrible! It was nasty, and I found bugs in my bathroom! Poor customer service also... Highly recommend another place to stay

Clean
By dakotatraveler, 06/22/09
The Bullock Express is an older motel that has not had much updating, that being said, it was clean and comfortable and mostly quiet. For the price we paid, I was satisfied with our night's stay as we passed through the area. Many other hotels were, at a minimum, twice the price of the Bullock Express. It's location showed up incorrectly on internet map sites and our GPS (locating it near the visitor's center) so we had to stop at the visitor's center to find it, it is located at the very northern edge of town right where the two highways branch. Because it was on the edge of town we had to drive downtown to where "all the action" is and pay to park in the parking ramp, a slight inconvenience, which may be one reason this motel is so inexpensive.

OMG
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/08
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!! We thought that it would be fine as they are affiliated with the Bullock Hotel downtown. We pulled in and it looked like a dump, hoping the inside would be nice got the key and it was the worst dump I have ever seen. Stains on the rug, chairs and very smelly, we left and ate the $40, we were booked in for two nights. We refused to stay there. We got a wonderful, beautiful room up the street at Cadillac Jacks for $15 more a night. Stay as far away from this place as possible.

We would return to the Bullock.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/08
We found the Bullock Express clean and affordable. We were staying just one night and required a pet friendly, smoking room. I have stayed at more expensive hotels that were the same size, no better or worse than the Bullock. Anderson's in Minnesota

Disappointed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/07
Our tour guide booked this hotel, but it was mis-represented to him at the time he booked it. Everyone in our group was VERY disppointed. The motel needs updated BADLY! I can't believe that it is in any way associated with the Bullock Hotel! You can bet that our group of 53 will NEVER stay there again, and it will not be recommended to anyone that we are associated with. It's a disgrace to the great little town of Deadwood!

Great for the money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/07
We have been back several times. We love for the money and the location. It is clean but old. We like it also because we have a dog and he can come in the room. The first time we stayed here was because it was the only place in town that had availability. We paid $29 a night! Compared to $100 and more elsewhere. When we woke up in the am opened the drapes it was beautiful...Snow on the hills across the street. We have never had trouble with noise or anything else. We never have eaten there because of all the good deals in town. This is the first place you come to as you enter the city of Deadwood. Give it a try if your not so picky and just need a place to sleep with no BUGS! I hate bugs. Just where your slippers because remember its old.
