Awful smell, stay away!
By ,
Can't say much good about it because the overwhelming musty stale smell of the room ruined the entire stay. We spent as little time in the room as possible and left first thing in the morning.

Smelly room.
By ,
Our room had a bad smell. Musty or moldy. The window only had a metal blind which let in light all night. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Blossom Time in Door County !!
By ,
We loved the size of the room ! we had a King bed, microwave and refrigerator with a cook top/ 2 burner, sofa to sit on with a table & 2 chairs. The pool was absolutely wonderful!!! Nice and warm. We both enjoyed the quietness of the place and location and most times had the pool with only a few other people. As a matter of fact we wdnt to dinner at the old english inn with a couple we met while visiting the pool and struck up a nice friendship. Room was cleaned every day. The outside of the buildings look in need of a paint job, but don't judge a book by it's cover. Inside was nice and clean. This is our second time to the door county area. What a great time to be there. The flowering cherry trees and tulips were awesome ! Good places to eat nearby, about a block away. Good italian place about 1/2 mile away. I think it was called sonny's. When we go back we'll stay at the Beowulf again.

Will go back for Winter Games in Feb. TOGA Party at Parkway Supper Club - 2 Blocks away !!
By ,
The rooms were nice and spacious ! Front desk staff & managers were VERY helpful...told us different places to go eat and sightsee. Parkway Supper Club + C & C Supper Club were our favorites...Both were suggestions from the Managers at Beowulf. They have a wonderfully warm Swimming Pool and Whirlpool. One of the first pools that I didn't have to "Adjust" to when I got in it. They told us about the Winter Games the first weekend in Feb. with rates starting at $55 or $65 a night ...can't beat it !! We're hoping for a lot of snow because they said that there is a candle-light ski across the road in Peninsula State Park./ Picnic tables and a game room were favorites of the kids. Free use of tennis equipment and movie rentals. If you want to eat in...order Pizza from Sonny's...good stuff!! We'll be back Beowulf !! Keep up the good work!!

Will stay here again & again
By ,
The location is wonderful. Set back from the main hwy 42, we were still close enough to town. Our rooms were very clean & comfortable. Mr. Moore and his staff were always polite and helpful, always thinking of our comfort. They made our stay most enjoyable.

Easy to get to all the sights from here. clean rooms,no weird smells for such cheap rooms. the parking lot & drive ways could be a little wider. Great, pool, tennis courts, also, outdoor grills & picinic tabels are the bomb.

Nice people at the Beowulf !!
By ,
We just came back from a stay at the Beowulf Lodge in Fish Creek which is located in the middle of northern Door County. To start off with...I just want to say how much we appreciated the thoughtfulness of their Managers. We were suppose to stay for 4 nights, but got cut short because of a illness in our family. We went to the front desk and were checking out knowing full well that there was not going to be a refund of any of our stay, but boy were we surprised!! The Manager Kevin happened to be at the desk when we checked out and told us that they usually give a gift certificate for a future stay if the room is re-rented...well it was winter time in Door County and that probably wasn't going to happen. He told us not to worry that they would work something out. Now I knew from past experiences at other resorts that it probably meant we were out of luck....BOY I was wrong!! We got a call about 3 or 4 days after we got back home and it was Kevin letting us know that we would be receiving a gift certificate for a future stay that we could use or give as a gift to someone else. He also seemed genuinely concerned about how my Mom was and wished her a speedy recovery. We'll be going back to the Beowulf this coming May...Kevin had told us about the Lighthouse Walk and how interesting they all were to see. Thanks Beowulf !! Keep up the good will!! We had stayed in one of the deluxe lodge rooms...had 2 queen beds/ frig/ microwave and coffee maker...nice and clean and non-smoking!! Great place!

Swell time at the Beowulf Lodge
By ,
Hello! To whom it may concern. I just had to write about the Beowulf Lodge. We stayed there in October during one of the festivals. What a great place to go. Their swimming Pool was awesome...nice and warm like they said. It's nice to go into a pool without knowing you have to be in it for awhile to adjust. Their pool is nice and toasty. They have a great game room for the kids... $0.25 cent games...haven't seen those in a long time. Their staff was very nice and helpful. We ate dinner just up the street from the Lodge at the Parkway Supper Club...we were told by the Manager at the Beowulf to order the Knarly Pasta...Wow! Great! If you like seafood and garlic...you'll LOVE this! All in all we had a wonderful time at the Beowulf. We'll be back !

Beowulf Lodge - Door County
By ,
We stayed at the Beowulf Lodge in February of 2005. Went skiing across the street at Peninsula State Park. We got a little lost in the park and called the resort (only number we knew there)...and the Manager talked us to a rest area in the park and even came and picked us up !! They went way beyond any other place we've stayed in Door County. When we got back to the resort he had Hot Cocoa waiting for us...Awesome people and Great resort!!
