Road Star Inn, Appleton

Was there for the last Packer game. Stayed in the # 400 area. Heard noise, partying going on all night, from room # 414. In and out all the time. Very disappointed.

i was having surgery the next morning and stayed at the road star it was dirty and very old would not recomend it.I had my husband promise me if i had to stay another night we would change hotels.It turned out i needed to stay in the hospital another night and he stayed there.

This motel was recommended by the convention and visitors bureau for soccer players families to stay at during the recent Region II soccer tournament. They must either have an ownership interest in this place or did not visit the rooms to ensure it was adequate. The mattresses were the worst I have ever encountered, the carpets were filthy and the shower curtains had mold on them on the tub/shower side. We had to purchase sheets and pillowcases at the nearby Dollar General to ensure we received clean linens. The staff at the front desk were polite and nice, but the property was not one to stay at unless you were falling asleep at the wheel and could not sleep under the stars. I an not terribly hard to please and have stayed at many budget motels, and contrary to the slogan their ("best of the budgets") this is most likely the worst I have ever stayed in.

The Road Star Inn Appleton was very dirty - carpet stains, dirty bathroom floor, dirty bathroom walls, dirty sheets & pillowcases. The toilet in my room was broken. I slept for a few hours fully clothed on top of the bed because I didn't want to come in contact with their sheets! I asked for a refund and was denied. I can't stress strongly enough that you should find somewhere else to stay.

I made reservations for 4 nights, but could hardly stay there 1 night. Right after I entered the building I noticed huge stains on the carpet in the hall. I reserved a non-smoking room but the room I got smelled of cigarette smoke and there were cigarette ashes on the floor next to the bed. There was a piece of chewing gum stuck to the remote control. The wallpaper was coming off the wall and the walls had stains on them. The toilet lid was missing. The most disgusting part was finding a pubic hair on one of the towels. The sheets were wrinkled and I was afraid that they haven't been changed. I checked out early next evening even after they refused to refund me my money. Next morning I realized I left my phone charger in the room so I went back. When I got back in the room I noticed that someone has stayed there after I checked out. The worst part was that I noticed the towel that I used to clean my face (still had some of my make-up on it) that I left on the sink folded back up and placed with the "clean" towels. How disgusting. I wonder if they at least changed the sheets when they re-rented the room.

I stayed at the roadstar June 16 while attending the State baseball tournament.Overall,I thought it was a good deal. Noticed as I was walking up the rear entry that the stairs needed to be vaccumed.Room was very nice,clean except for spider webs in corner above microwave that had grown for a while.I think housekeeping needs to take care of some of the extras,instead of just a basic cleaning.

It's a great place to stay for a few days. I'm going to move to the area soon. The staff is very personable and they know everything about the area! Good food in town.
