The room was clean enough and it is very basic and stripped down as others have described, king size bed was nice. Dinky towels and not enough of them. Got a non smoking room with an ashtray in it that said no smoking on the back of it which seemed strange but the room didn't reek of smoke at all. It was very quiet. A little trashy looking on the outside, bags of garbage sat outside the doors right next to the trash cans and was dissappointed because the pictures that represent the hotel online is not the hotel we arrived at. I chose it partly because of the photo represenation of the large pool and ability to walk outside the front door to the outside balcony area rather than a carpeted inside hallway. No balcony area which was inconveniant for my other half who is a smoker. Pretty small swimming pool. No free continental breakfast, just coffee and food isn't horribly conveniant to get to unless you want Dominoes to deliver.
The place was liveable for a couple of days and served it's purpose but not much more. Also not impressed that this was booked online in advance and the price changed when we got there. Pointed this out to the clerk who adjusted it but it was still a couple of dollars more than what my online receipt said to pay. That was irritating and shouldn't have changed one penny. We most likely won't be going back to this hotel for what we paid and never got to use the small crowded pool.
I live here in Waco but the electricity had gone out in our neighborhood and had been out all day and night. They had no idea when it would be back on. So, I wanted the cheapest decent motel possible. I chose the motel 6 because pets stay free. I stayed at the one off of hwy 6 between the new rd and valley mills exits. I was really pleased with everything. The room and bathroom were both really clean. It was actually a smoke free smoke-free room, meaning it was legitimately smoke free and not just in name. The staff was incredibly friendly. I wasn't looking for much else other than some form of cool circulation and a place to sleep. I have no complaints. It was better than I was expecting actually. I would recommend this hotel to anyone just needing a place to relax and crash.
VERY,VERY DIRTY.It look like it had not been cleaned in weeks! Mainly the floors, some food left over the beds, several bottle caps on the floor and hair pins on the floor also. Hair on the bathroom floor.
I had asked for a non-smoking room and got a room marked with a non-smoking logo but it was covered in cigarette burns and smelled heavily of smoke. Tried to call desk but phone was pulled out of wall. It was late so I went to sleeep.. Upon arising, i found roaches everywhere. No help for me at the front desk, so I took off. Think the place should be leveled.
It was wonderful to find a motel with a "non-smoking" room that actually was clean and free of any smoke in this room or coming through the ventilation system from another room. The queen sized bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and courteous as well.
Even though the Motel 6 is behind another motel it helped to buffer the traffic noise from I-35.
