Family, Friends, Fishing, Fun, Food !
By ,
In this busy world, it is hard to get everyone together, but at Lakeshore Resort we did it. We rented 2 of the large family cabins, and came down set to have a relaxing time. Our son and his family were here from the state of Washington to spend some "Quality" time, making this home base for a few days The rest of our family came to see him some for a few hours and some stayed for a day or two. Well, we fished and fished and fished some more, most of us catching our limits. Let me tell you nothing better than fried fish for breakfast ( I put bacon bits in the flour/meal mixt) The docks are perfect for fishing and "gabbin". One night we were winding down, a little guitar playing, and chillin' when we heard a loud noise! The kids came running thru the door all excited ( we thought maybe they saw a skunk or racoon) holding, barely, a HUGE fish they had reeled in on 6lb test line! A true fish story! The grounds are well kept, with nice grills, and believe me there are plenty of comfy places to sit and plenty of things for the kids to do. Our grandsons even got thier 73 year old great grandma to play basketball, (She played all thru school, I never knew that about my mother!) those pic's were great! The resort is so close to downtown Branson and the "76 Strip" shopping, shows, food! We stay at the resort most the time, it was just too much quality time/fun to leave. Money well spent! Our son's family said it was the BEST vacation they ever had! We have been before in the spring,& fall, and we just can't wait to go back ! Hmmm maybe summer if we can wait that long!

Double Charging
By ,
We went to the resort as a family vacation and everything was fine. When we checked in they ran my debit card through for the deposit, but held it. When we checked out they ran it through for the final charges and that was fine. A week after I got home I checked my bank account and found that they had charged me again for the initial deposit amount. I called to see if there had been some additonal charges. They said no and that they couldn't find the 2nd charge. I sent them a copy of the bank statement and they said they would check into it. No apologies, but they did say that they found the 2nd charge and I'm still waiting for the almost $400.00 credit. Poor business practices...as they are the ones to make the error. Still no apology.

This is a family place, located ideally in a quiet place away from the traffic, but with in minutes of downtown attractions of Branson. The fishing is good, but there are activities available for everyone in the family.
We have been going to Lakeshore for 40 years.
