Nice place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/11
Every year we make a trek across country and since discovering Jay's 10 years ago, we always stay there. What keeps us coming back is the great value, nice clean rooms, friendly staff. What more can we say! The restaurant is gone, but there are many good ones in the neighborhood.

needed a place to sleep and get back on the road
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/29/10
Jays Inn was right were i needed to stop travelling from Michigan to Oklahoma to get some sleep, went to Days Inn first and the rate was too much, thought about curling up in the car, went over to Jays, reasonable price, food & gas close. Back on the road clean and refreshed, bring your own shampoo. but the coffee was supplied and good

Very, very pleased
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/07
We stayed at Jay's Inn about three weeks ago and were very pleasantly surprised with the motel. We chose it because it accepted pets and we were traveling with our dog. The room was much nicer and cleaner than ones we have stayed at for more money. The room had everything you would want in a stopover motel. Jay's restaurant was an excellent value and the food as great!!!! We had both dinner there and breakfast the next morning. We would definitely stop at Jay's Inn again whenever we happen to be driving thru.

Best Value Found
By RichardB, 9/9/07
Traveled from Arizna to Indiana and back severl times. Of course because of our limited income and today's gasoline prices always looked for an inexpensive place to stay. Thought with an inexpensive national chain we'd get the best value, but found Motel 6s were the worst ! Even though they are a chain each Motel 6 is a franchise and no two are the same. Woke up in a Motel 6 in Deming, New Mexico to find a large puddle of water on the floor from a plumming leak ! Jay's inn at Vandalia, Illinois not only is very affordable, but was the highest quality with a very clean nicely furnished room and even a double leather Lazy Boy recliner ! I highly recomend Jay's Inn as one of the best values in the entire country. Richard Byrd Bisbee, Arizona

Clean & Cheap
By Charlotte M, 1/11/06
Excellent price for a clean and up to date room that includes wireless internet service, a coffee maker (with coffee), and a microwave. This facility is family owned and operated, as it has been for decades. Forget the chains. Stay at Jay's Inn.

Very very clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/05
Jay's Inn is the best value in town. Large, clean, neat rooms. For the price charged, a great bargain! Will be back to Jay's when traveling through town.
