Travelers Inn, Orangeburg

Arrived at hotel at 3am. Went to sleep and woke at 5 am. Went outside to check on truck and trailer, and they were gone. My Harley, and all my deceased brother's possessions including 22 guns were gone. It would have been nice to have been warned that this is a problem in the area.

The Travelers Inn is close to Ruby Tuesday one of our favorite places to eat! I just read some of the other reviews and I'm glad I didn't before we stopped there. We got a coupon from the South Carolina hotels brochure. Breakfast was great...........and we had plenty of company in the morning. The receptionist was very nice....there was no tip Jar but we left her a tip for the efficient way she looked after the breakfast area. We would stay here again.....It is halfway to Florida for us!

I made a reservation at Travelers Inn Orangeburg for two nights. Six days in advance of the selected dates I called to cancel. I was told a two week notice was required, but that I could call Susan after 3:30 to discuss it. At 3:30 I was told to call after 6:00. At 6:00 I was told to call again Wednesday. I finally tried to convey simply that the reservation should be considered cancelled per credit card regulations requiring only a 24-hour notice. I was never given a reservation number, nor is there a central Travelers Inn 800 number to call to complain. I will never stay at Orangeburg Travelers Inn.

On Oct 1st 2010 we stayed in the place. whithin 2 min of going to bed there was bugs crawling on us. We sat in the chairs the rest of the night and in the morning we pulled the sheets back to find numerous bed bugs. We asked the maid to come in the room and she killed the bugs by smashing them on the bed and went to tell the front desk about the bugs. The general manager Chris Mehta tried to offer us $20 for our trouble. lol Once we arrived in Florida we called and we were told by the manager Susan they were refunding our money and the check was mailed. 2 weeks later now and today we were told by Chris Mehta that the number of bed bugs were in the allowable range and he was not going to do anything about our stay or the bugs. So if an "allowable" amout of bed bugs is ok with you go ahead and stay there.

It has always been very clean and the staff has always been so friendly; they go out their way to help you and others, and the rooms are very clean. I recomend it to all

the staff was very helpful, polite, and wanted to make sure everything was what i wanted. everything was clean and in order. this place makes me feel like i'm home. if you need a clean and reasonabl place to stay, then travlers inn is the place to stay. thank you to all staff members for making my stay a pleasant one.

loved everything aboutit, friendly people and friendly envirnment. the rooms were clean, and it was really peaceful. staff was really helpful, and the rooms were comfortable to be in. no noice at night. it was great. i'll be back

I went back to this location after 3 years and this motel is the best and the rooms and brand new, they have been up dating the motel and is still no. 1 motel on the exit so i will tell all my friends and family to stay at this location.
