Nasty hotel

Boy are pictures deceiving, after viewing this place online, we traveled to St. Marys with the intention of staying at this hotel. This hotel had a weird odor that I noticed as soon as we entered the place, it smelled like sour clothes, we requested to see a room and I am so glad we did, the carpet was nasty, and I also noticed that there was alot of outside lights installed around each of the rooms. I found out later that this is because the hotel has a reputation of being in a rough area. The staff member was nice and very understanding when we told him that we were not staying, I cant believe that the internet made this place look so good. Yuck!!! Stay at the La Quinta Inn in Kingsland , its wonderful and clean!

Great place to meet the locals;and the Naval personel stationed at Kings Bay. Hotel is clean and the food is good. The Island Lounge really shines. Great staff. Really make you feel at home away from home. Can't wait to get back! John from Boston
