Sea Gull Inn, Virginia Beach

Travelled there with two toddlers, the railings on the balcony were too far apart to be safe, my friend's daughter got her head caught. The room was a SMOKING room, and they failed to tell us, and when we said something to the front desk, no apology or sympathy was given, just a cold "I cannot do anything about that!" comment. Amenities were few. a small rickety fridge that barely worked, and a packet of skunky coffee...good thing we didn't really spend much time in the room, but for the price, I would have expected more. On the flipside, the restaurant downstairs has very friendly waitstaff and good food.

We thought the room was dirty and not well maintained. A few of the office staff were very RUDE. Would definately return to the restaurant, good of food and great service.

We had an awesome time in this hotel. The people were very friendly and helpful, too. We had great service and were given a few freebies as it was the end of the season. Best time to go to Virginia Beach was Oct 2nd 2005. as the beaches were not crowded and also we had super weather. We definetly will go back again. Loved it that much.

My Husband and I stayed here 13 years ago for our Honeymoon and we had a wonderful time.We ate lots of meals on the patio and watched the dolphin play in the ocean while having breakfast.
One day we will return for sure!

False advertisement...Fridge in room is a wine cooler not a fridge and it took days for our drinks to get just chilled and they never did get cold. Guest service told us it was fine . We could not put any food it it at all. It was a room decoration more than a fridge. Pool was dirty. Hot tub was filthy. NO bathrooms in pool room. You have to walk to your room wet to use a bathroom. I have never been in a any place where there wasn t a bathroom near the pool. Hallways stunk. Parking SUCKED! You have to walk 2 blocks and cross a busy road(with kids) to get to the addtional parking. Elevator was so small you theer are more then 3 people in your family you will need to take 2 trips up. The only good thing aboutthe place was how close it was to the beach and the views of the ocean but there are enough other places to choose from so avoid this hotel

It was the best place. It was my first time in Virginia Beach, and I can't wait to go back! It was clean,the location was wonderful, The service was great even though we didnt get to ride the trollies:[ And the cost wasnt even high! I cant wait to go back This summer!

BAD PART OF THE STRIP I stayed there with a two week old infant.it was a pleasant trip but I some how developed a stalker and when the stalker was able to obtain a set of my room keys and no apology from the manager, that is when this hotel went on my bad list.

The manager is rude, he lied on the phone and told us that the rooms were just updated, no way. The chrome in the bathroom was rusted, the parking lots were pathetic, you could actually get blocked in by someone that you don't know What??? Management's only response was we are booked we can't switch your room. My aunt had water (not sure if it was sewer or shower coming through her bathroom ceiling). One of our neighbors had bugs in her room. She says she will post pictures online.

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in. we were supposed to get two queen size beds. Our room had one king size and a sofa bed (a dirty sofa bed). The elevator there is very small, dirty and it stinks. We had to call twice to get clean sheets for the sofa bed and extra towels. They didnt even brought the towels to the room. We had to go to the managers office to get them. I dont recomend this place to any one.

Stayed for three nights in the off-season with my grown kids. We had a very pleasant stay for a nice low rate. Personable staff, good restaurant, excellent location... this place is great for the budget-limited visitor. I've already made reservations to go back again in a couple weeks, for my girlfriend's birthday. Indoor pool and whirlpool was a nice evening treat. Free Wi-Fi!!
