Beach Carousel Motel, Virginia Beach

This is the worst excuse for a hotel I have ever in my life seen. Why is the health department not involved in cleaning up that dump? I think the conditions there could be disease-causing. I can hardly rate this hotel, as it needs to be drastically cleaned up.

WE STAYED HERE LAST IN AUGUST OF 2004 AND ALTHOUGH I CONCUR THAT THE ROOMS ARE OLD AND OUTDATED, THEY WERE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. WAS CLOSE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS AND BEING FROM DELAWARE, OTHER THAN THE TRIP TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. THE VEHICLE DID NOT MOVE OUR WHOLE VACATION. WE ARE COMING BACK AGAIN THIS AUGUST 2009 HOPE WE HAVE THE SAME EXPERIENCE.

The rooms need to be exterminated on a monthly basis, and the cleaning crew needs to step up their game. Otherwise, was an ok stay. Location is great and the staff are very friendly.

It was a nightmare the smell was terrible,stains on the chairs and carpets which to me were never cleaned, mold and mildew all over the bathtub. We left and went somewhere else,but it will not end for me here i will definitley be speaking with the Better Buisness Bureau because this is not something that any human being should have to experience on there so called vacation. Thankful enough we were able to find something and start our vacation nicely for the second time around.

everything about this place was horrible it was a nightmare, i would rather sleep on the streets, it was horrible dirty and just nasty i wouldnt let my worst enemy stay there

Was unable to find a site to review this hotel for the longest time. Not internet savvy @ the time we stayed there. A/C did not work and room was stifling. Somewhat stinky. Slept wrapped in our own beach towels or blankets. Afraid of the bedding. Front desk staff very friendly but that does not make me want to go back to give them another chance. Planning another trip soon and will choose another location. Good price, good location are the only positives

Old, run down room. The plumbing access panel for the shower was gone, leaving a dirty open hole in the wall right next to the bed's headboard. The room was hot and the ac was very inefficient. A piece of wood was holding the window in the front of the room shut. The room had a sticky, sweaty perfume smell that reminded me of a strip joint. No ice to fill our cooler in the morning. They turn them off at night to save on electricity. The machine won't produce ice for 45 minutes after power-up. I was very uncomfortable bringing my kids there. Other guests were on the walkway in the front drinking beer at 9 am, yelling and making lots of noise. We promptly checked out of room the next morning and checked into another hotel.

Nice close location, not the place to stay if you are looking for luxury, but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable room that close to the beach at a reasonable price...then this is the place. I have stayed there every year since the 90's and have no complaints.

Me and my best friend stayed here for my birthday last year and it was awesome. The staff made us feel like family. Well done guys and we can't wait to see you guys this year in July!
