I Was Sexually Harassed By A Serial Predator
By Deborah, 5/25/12
I was employed at this hotel for a brief period before I was subject to sexual harassment by a colleague,Min Kwon who offered favorable evaluations in exchange for sexual acts.. After several employees had encountered similar incidents with Mr. Kwon, the franchise owner of the property ,Nayan Patel arranged for a conference with Min Kwon and the female employeed who had alleed that they were victims of Min Kwon's sexual harassment. . Mr. Kwom acknowledged that he had committed numerous acts of sexual harassment against the employees who had brought their allegations forward. Mr. Kwon even admited to harassing female employeed who had never come forward. Nayan Patel then terminated Min Kwon. In reality this was a farce. Mr. Kwon was transsfered to another hotel. The victims of Mr. Kwon were then subjected to false performance reviews. This conduct should not have been a surprise as the franchise owner, Shankar Patel and his nephew, Bandesh R. P:atel have been accused of threatening to withhold female employeed earnings in exchange for sexual favors. These matters have been reported to the Labor Boards and are presently pending.

Worst Hotel Ever!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/30/11
This hotel is the worst that I had ever encountered. The room was so old. The bedspread smelled. There are rats in the room. I attempted to resolve this with the General Manager and he was rude and said that he did not care. I will never return to this hotel.

Closest Resemblance to Bates Motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/11
This hotel is a peer to the Bates Motel. This "hotel" is horrific! I really regret that I did not consult these reviews prior to our stay. There are rats in the room. The bed spread was so old and smelled. The bathrooms are terrible. I was scheduled for a week's stay, but canceled after one night. The staff is so rude and terrible. They are very dishonest. There are so many inconsistencies in my interaction with them. This was documented as I will be forwarding this to the local authorities in Arlington.

Really Disgusting Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/11
This hotel is truly disgusting. I wish I had reviewed this hotel prior to my stay. The room was so dated and there were rats inside and outside my room! If thsi was not bad enough I found a condom inside the bed upon check in. Clearly, how could housekeeping have missed that. The hotel manager argued with me on these issues and refused to issue a refund. I have documented thiese conditions and will report this to the local health department. This place should be closed!

This Hotel Has Rats!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/11
This hotel is clearly the worst hotel that I have ever encountered. My room was so DISGUSTING that words can not even describe!Prior to my booking of this hotel,I was assured that the hotel had undergone a multimillion dollar renovation. This is clearly FALSE and misleading! I realized that we had been deceived when I arrived at the hotel and discovered several large rats in the parking lot. The hotel stated that the rats were a result of the ongoing construction project across the street. But, I later discovered that their hotel restaurant which was presently closed had been cited for numerous health violations spanning several years. The room had trash in the clothes drawer. The bath tub surfce had a mildew odor and a foam on the surface. This was horrific. The hotel never replied to my complaints on these issues.

Horrid Experience
By LauraD, 6/14/10
First of all, this hotel is no where near the metro. It's at least a mile to the nearest metro station. There are tons of other places in Arlington much, much closer. The hotel is very old and outdated. The carpet was filthy. The air conditioner was on it's last legs - good thing it wasn't extremely hot while we were there, as it put out very little air. The curtain to the one very small window didn't close all the way - we used a chip clip to keep it closed. The shower drain didn't work properly, and the water in the tub was halfway up our calves while we showered. The door into the room had to be jammed closed - several attempts to open the door with a screwdriver were visible on the outside of it. The lobby had a foul odor to it. The only thing served at breakfast time was coffee. There is a bar/grill at the hotel, that was more bar than grill. Other than that, there were no other eating places close by. We go to Arlington often, as our only grandchild lives there. We had a slight change of plans which caused us to book this place at the last minute because no other places were available. Worst experience in Arlington for us, that's for sure. Next time, we will spend the extra money and go way over our budget to avoid this place.

Would stay again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/14/09
My family went stayed here for our trip to D.C. and although the motel is older, it was clean, the employees were very friendly and helpful, and I would definately stay again, as it was very convienent to the metro. Free shuttle every morning and a ride back sure beats having to deal with traffic. I wished they had a continental breakfast, did not find the resteraunt to be very appetizing, but it was convienent. If you are person that wants to hang out in a fancy motel all day, you may want to go somewhere else and pay that overprice, but this Days Inn was great for what we needed, a clean room, with hot shower, and a fairly comfortable bed to sleep in, with friendly employees, and the rate was very reasonable. My kids didn't complain, which is surprising, and they loved the computor access and the hot tea in the lobby. The pizza place across the street ( Armands) was very good. If I go back to DC I will stay here again.

Nice place for the money
By Pamela, 11/12/08
We stayed in this hotel for the Marine Corps Birthday. The hotel is older but it was very clean. We were able to take a cab to the Iwo Jima Memorial for the official ceremony. We enjoyed our stay as much as we have in more expensive hotels. The parking was free, when we've had to pay additional for parking elsewhere. We'll more than likely stay here again for future visits.
