Vesuvio Motel, Lewes

I lOVE the area been here 24 years vesuvio motel has lots of love in my heart so does vesuvio resturant in chester so sad to see it closed when i go past once a year

My daughter and I have stayed here and it is the only place in Lewes we will stay. We look forward to our yearly visit with the wonderful and friendly owners and can't wait for our visit this month-08/09. In our hearts they have become family. They try, and succeed, to make their motel very welcoming to all who stay with them. To stay at the Vesuvio Motel only adds to our visit. As far as the price goes, I can not remember from year to year what the rates are, but I know I have never been displeased with the price. I am close to the beach, the shops, and a price can not be put on how friendly and caring the owners are.

My family and I stayed in the family-owned and oriented motel a couple years ago and have never forgotten the experience. The owners are very kind and helpful...like family. The location is great, with access to all you would want to do and see in Lewes. While we often camp, when we are looking for accomodations in Lewes again, we will choose Vesuvio!

We have stayed there twice and both times the rooms are very clean, the owners are very nice and helpful. The location is just a plus it is within walking distance of everything that Lewes has to offer. I would stay there any time.

The rooms are being remodeled and are looking wonderful...They have gone up in price to 108.00 but well worth it for where they are located...the owners are very friendly...the rooms are clean and if you want to check out later their very understanding and will allow just leave a tip for the maid...very nice motel in a small town that's quiet...

Right on the canal, walking distance to Lewes beach, acceess to the Cape May -Lewes ferry. Downtown shopping just a minute walk,fishing charters right over the bridge!!! Clean rooms and outstanding hospitality!!! Restaruants within walking disatance and Cape Henlopen State park just a few minutes away!! Lewes is very relaxing especially at night. It is very quiet and tucked away from all the boardwalk madness. Johnny and Karen will take great care of you !!!

Have stayed here 3/4 times. Good for the price and great for location. But, when called for reservations this week was told the room cost was $108.00, and was told rate was never under $89.00. Owner seemed to get upset when the rate on Yahoo was quoted and was then told they did not place quote and did not know who did. Neither my husband nor I remember ever paying over $70.00. Needless to say this basic room is NOT worth $108.00.
