Worst Experience of my life!!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/4/09
The place stunk, the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I have ever TRIED to sleep on, the tv that was in the room was from the 1970's I believe, put it this way, my nephew took his playstation and the tv was so old it didn't even have the hookups for it. Most of the lamps that were hooked to the wall looked like they were about to fall off, their was dust everywhere. The headboard was just set behind the bed for looks. The whole family came to Smithfield for a funeral and everyone of us were disatisfied. The best thing about the whole experience was the next morning when we checked out. In my son's room a chunk of the tub was missing and it was full of bugs. We asked for a wakeup call at 7:30 but we were already up and dressed ready to go at 6:00. Some people may like this type of motel but it definantly was not for me.

NEVER AGAIN !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/12/08
If it had not been so late at night when we checked in, we would have immediately checked out. Room was disgusting, punched in bathroom door, dirty/stained carpeting, no clock (thank God we brought one as we used the light in the night as a flashlight as we where convinced all the creepy crawlies where going to come out during the night) The brochure on the night stand which must have been produced in the 50's showed the same decor ! Nothing has been updated ! Could not wait to get out in the morning.

Overpriced for value received
We selected this motel because it took pets! Unfortunately, it was quite unsatisfactory. We asked for a non-smoking room, but the room had obviously been smoked in, we only had one face towel for two people, the bathtub was gross, the sink didn't drain and the pillows were flat and uncomfortable. It had an adequate refrigerator, but had no other amenities such as a hair dryer, an iron, or even a bedside clock! It also seems to be a residential motel. Gave no discounts - even AARP - Overpriced for the value received!

Great hotel for pets!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/10/05
We've stayed at the Log Cabin on our way to and from South Carolina for about the past 9 years; it's about half-way for us. They accept pets, and the rooms set aside for pets are very clean. The rooms all have outside access, so we don't have to worry about taking an elevator or steps to let the dogs out. From what I've seen, everyone is as meticulous about cleaning up after their pets as we are. There is a popular restaurant on the grounds (not open Sundays). The little restaurant that used to serve breakfast on Sundays (when we check out) has been closed for the past few years. That's a bit inconvenient, but there are fast food places nearby for coffee. We don't consider staying anywhere else going to and from our SC vacation.
