14 reviews for Prince Conti French Quarter, New Orleans
Not sure I would stay at again....
By Rebekah Guthrie, 09/08/09
We stayed at the Prince Conti one night. I was hopeful that it was going to be nice because of the pictures/reviews that I had reviewed before our trip. The hotel was not quite what it looked like in the pics, but it was a decent enough hotel for $60 a night (and in the French Quarter). Parking charges at the hotel were a little outrageous ($28 a night). When we got to our room, the floor was wet in front of one of the beds. Not sure what that was! Our room view was some dirty buildings next door, which was not great but we were only staying one night so I wasn't too concerned about the view. My problem was the wireless internet access. I was on vacation, but still had business contacts/emails to check. The wireless access was not working at all. After several hours, we notified the front desk and asked for an ethernet cord so that we could just access the internet that way, but they said our room was one of the few that did not have cord access. We asked for tech support and was told that the computer tech would call us. The NEXT day and FIVE MINUTES before we were to check out, the computer tech guy called and asked what the problem was. At that time, we were checking out and told the guy that. His response was "Okey dokey" and that was it. Overall, I have mixed reviews about the hotel. Not sure I would stay there again.

Southern Hospitality? I think NOT!
By Kristin, 08/14/09
I had to get on here and let everyone know how HORRIBLE my experience here was. I have never met more RUDE people in my life. I dont know what was wrong with the people working here but next time I visit New Orleans (I cant wait, the whole experience besides this hotel was amazing!) I will NOT be here. I'd rather sleep on the piss filled street than pay for these people to treat me like a piece of trash. Good thing I didn't drink, I'm sure I would not have been able to bite my tongue. I went to school with Catholic nuns in charge my whole life.. I can put up with a lot but I was blown away... the room service was about as great as the lady at the check in desk ... dont waste your time here! We left first thing in the morning and went to the W, I'd definitely go back there... its the difference of walking on the red carpet versus the type of "hospitality" or "room service" you would receive in jail. Absolutely Pitiful!

Close To Bourbon!
By shae, 04/15/08
It was very quite for being almost on the corner of bourbon st...the hotel staff were friendly..but wouldn't go out of their way for too much..parking is quite expensive...$28 a day..we had a rental car and parked in the parking lot at the end of conti and n. rampart for 12 a day...but my advice is don't get a car..everything is in walking or rail car distance and its cheaper.

Two thumbs up
By Vince, 01/26/08
Overall, a very pleasant and convenient stay. The hotel was very clean and had an old world charm. We stayed there two nights before departing on a cruise. We didn't require alot from the hotel other than a good night sleep, that is the reason for the good rating. Would stay there again.

Never Again
By Baccibleu, 05/30/06
The location cant be beat, however....the rooms they show on their website are DEFINITLY not what we recieved. The picture on the website shows a very nice room with arched entryways etc. Our room had wallpaper that not only was filthy & stained it was ripped half way down one wall and reglued very poorly....the carpet had a large stain, and what appeared to be black mold was growing on the wallpaper under the window sill. On my last stay in the French Quarter I stayed at a sister property to this one and had a really nice room and great service, so needless to say I was BEYOND disappointed.

We will never stay anywhere else!
By desoto diner, 05/19/06
There is nothing my husband and I don't like about the Prince Conti Hotel. We have been to New Orleans three times and have been at the Conti all three times. Twice before Katrina and now once after. Everyone is so friendly. It is the perfect location(one block off of Bourbon). It is clean and quiet. We have always loved it. I highly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are quite nicely furnished and clean! We will never stay anywhere else. I tell everyone I know who is travelling to N.O. to stay there.
