BEST HOTEL EVER!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
I know it's been a while since I stayed here, but I ran across this hotel and had to write a review. I loved this hotel. We stayed here for a weekend and I didn't want to leave. It was honestly the BEST hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff was amazing. They let us check in early and there were some noisy guests next door and they moved them to the other side of the hotel. The breakfast was the best! They had any breakfast food you could possibly want. I loved the way this hotel looked, it was gorgeous. I loved the koi fish pond by the elevator. Free internet. Hotel has washer and dryer. Pool was really clean and so was the sauna/steam room. Rooms were also very clean. Really good location, we weren't afraid there at all. It was close to Dixie Landin so that was definitely a plus. Stay at this hotel, I guarantee you will love it!

its a beautiful hotel BUT.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/11
when we walk in,we were amazed at how it looked. we needed to forget about what we going threw after just coming back from seeing a love one in angola prison. but anyway we check in and went straight to the pool and steamroom after we were done,we ask for towels to bath and the manger had a problem giving them to us and when i got upset and said i was going to call the 1800 n# she change and gave us whatever we wanted. its a shame that it took me getting upset for towels. and there's another thing there's one door in the whole hotel that's not painted,we found that odd. the room n# is 301,we stayed next door to the room and threw out the night my family heard noises from that room and we all had nightmares. we ask the help about the room and they said it a room that we dont rent out but they wouldn't say why.......now that's odd. O.....my mother also said she think was dreaming but....she say in her dream she saw the door opening and seen a shadow(our room door) but she's not sure if she was dreaming r not. as i'am typing this i hear someone r something saying pise.... like to get me to look up but when i do i see no one....thats odd....BUT OVER ALL I WOULD STAY AGAIN...THE HOTEL ITS SELF WAS WORTH THE MONEY....

Business travel made enjoyable!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/5/09
The suite I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The bed had to be one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on away from home. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. I would stay there for business or pleasure anytime. The only complaint would be the small pretzel crumb that was wedged in the edge of the door facing. But then you may find that in my own home!!

This hotel is absolutely stunning!!!
By Mike, 4/14/09
The architecture of this hotel is so beautiful!! I spent my birthday here and just loved the French Quarter theme!! While I was there, I spoke with the GM and was told the hotel was under new management and went through lots of rennovations!! The beds were so comfortable...pillow top beds and the breakfast was the best breakfast I've ever had for free! They actually have the real scrambled eggs, from eggs!! and not the round frozen egg patties at all the other best westerns in baton rouge. Everyone should visit this hotel at least once, just to see how wonderful its charm is!!

Not a Chance on God's green Earth I'd go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/09
We took a very dear widow friend of ours to the Angola state prison rodeo, I was excited to do this she since she had told us how she never gets to go anywhere now her husband has passed away =( & we got a room with a divider wall so she wouldn't have to be in a room alone ...& to not spoil her trip I tried not to make a big deal of it, but I was disgusted when i was getting ready the morning after our stay and dropped my hair brush and to my surprise I found a condom & wrapper just under the edge of our bed, when we checked out, I informed the front desk and she acted as if it was no big deal, not even as much as an appoligy or even I'll inform house keeping. so if you do stay here, be sure to check under the bed 1st =)

Undergoing lots of rennovations...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/21/08
I stayed here at the end of 2006 and vowed not to come back until a coworker had told me the Chateau went through new management and had undergone a lot of changes. I was pleasently suprised when I came. They had a new business center, fitness center, new floors, repainted their rooms, new furniture and mattresses. I'll be sure to come back when they have their mattresses replaced with new pillowtops. They also have a hot cooked breakfast buffet now. It was absolutely wonderful. I have never encountered such a friendly and helpful staff. A front desk clerk even painted a huge oceanscape mural outside their pool. If you want to stay at a unique and different hotel, you will enjoy the Chateau.

Great Hideaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/1/08
My family had the most wonderful experience while staying here. The breakfast was great every morning. We stayed for 4 days and will be back. It is the hideaway you are looking for to get away. The steam room was great and the privacy in the room from the living area was fabulous. (May) the receptionist was great. She offered all the services they had and was very friendly. We talked every time we seen her. There were a few renovations going on but for the price you pay for just the great service was well worth it. It had a New Orleans Chateau feel. We hate we had to leave.

Wonderful staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/07
This hotel is is in a good location out of traffic. It had good parking, a nice courtyard and a great staff. The room was really big, but we were disappointed on how old, run down and outdated everything was. It seems to be poorly maintained, like old carpet, tile, counters, beds etc. For what we paid, I think we expected a little more from a Best Western.

Stay here as a last resort
I stayed at this hotel two weeks for business. The key system locked me out of the room four times. The interenet connection was only available twice. Some of the hotel staff were great others were not helpful at all. For $159 per night or for $103 per night there are much nicer places.

Fairly Acceptable Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/7/05
This is a fairly nice place to be in,but swimming in a hotel is truly not my style. "Pooling Power" may be fun for some boys, but I'm not generally intersted in such stuff. I'm too cultured for such things, as a general rule.-Harry
