I should have listened to the negative reviews. This place was awful. It smelled musty, the carpet was nasty, microwave was rusty the furniture had black dirt stains. I would not even sit down. We checked out immediately. PLEASE READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS....THEY ARE RIGHT. Stay somewhere else. Yes this is the one at 3200 GULF BLVD. Some people say that the negative reviews refer to Belleair Beach Resort. BELLEAIR BEACH CLUB IS AWFUL

What a relaxing, peaceful place, quietly situated in a beautiful gulf-front residential area of magnificent private homes, hence the peaceful atmosphere; it seemed like our own private beach! Robert, the Manager, is the nicest person in the world, and made us feel so welcome. Our suite was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a heart-breaking view of the Gulf [the sunsets were spectacular.] We found wonderful seafood restaurants just a few miles down Gulf Blvd & discovered a charming French restaurant - with the best food we've had outside of France [absolutely delicious!] Also further South on Gulf Blvd is a fantastic French bakery for great pastries and other delectables, so we felt thoroughly spoiled for choices, day & night! We really appreciated everything & hope to return for another relaxing stay as soon as we can get away.

I was expecting much more. The place was VERY dirty! The pool was milky, the elevator was horribly dirty and frankly I was scared to use it with my children. One boy even got stuck in it on our first night there. The manager came out with a broom to sweep the track so the door wouldn't stick again, or so he said. We didn't even want to take our shoes off in the room because the floors were so dirty. We were offered the room next door after we complained about the filth, but it was even worse than the room we were staying in. We had friends staying in the same hotel and when they used the oven the back burner on the stove top turned on! Their room was just as dirty and it had a horrible smell. The carpet in the rooms looked as though they were suppose to be tan but because they were so dirty they looked black. The pots and pans had old crusted food from previous people and the refrigerator had food particles still in it. The place is a dump and very very dirty. The only good thing is that it was ocean front, but trust me it wasn't worth it!

We really enjoyed our stay; super-friendly staff. The suite was large [bigger than our Manhattan apt!] fully-equipped & clean, very quiet location, yet close to everything - magnificent views of the Gulf. It was our first trip to the Gulf & we were unfamiliar with the area, so we didn't know what to expect, expecially at such a low price - but were very pleasantly "wow"ed and didn't want to leave - great location. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible & will recommend it to everyone.

Worse place I have ever stayed and also the dirtiest. Very old and out dated. Old torn furniture, 70's style stove, everything in the whole room was nasty. The only was to improve this place would be to tear it down and build a new one. Would never stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

We had a perfect view but that was the extent of perfect! The bed was horrible I felt like I was sleeping on a board; and I was. A board was placed between the mattress and box springs. The laundry facilites were up two flights/3rd floor plus expensive. I have to say I was very disappointed in this resort

It was very very clean and quiet. Robert and Mary were so helpful and couldn't have been better to work with. The pool was like the rest of the property very clean and neat. The beach is well maintained and we enjoyed the walks and the sunsets. Thank you for a wonderful stay in room 214 Earl and Rose

The Beach Club is located just minutes from shopping and resturants. The view of the Gulf is great. While I stayed there, it was quiet and undesturbing. My unit had all the necessary amenities I required. However, I would not recomend it to families with children. In my opinion it is best suited for single or couples. The living space and kitchen area was sufficient but modest. The units could use updating, however everything worked ok. This is definitly a older building and the units reflect that. The unit was clean and there were plenty of towels and blankets. It is a good place to go if you want just a place to crash and shower. It is near a residential neighborhood and the traffic was not a problem. Plenty of police cars, so watch your speed. It appeared to be a safe place to take a walk or a run along the beach. When I was there the weather was cool so I didn't have a chance to check out the pool area, but it looked good. The pool is small.

We were very pleasantly surprised to find this place in passing - arriving late evening, having planned to spend one night "on the road" - but enjoyed the place so much that we extended our stay for 3 days! A GREAT deal/super value. Unparalleled beach/views [why would anyone travel to the Caribbean when they could stay here?!!] Peaceful/quiet [we really liked the fact that it is a residential area, as opposed to rows/rows of motels] Extraordinary staff - super-nice/polite & accommodating [how rare!] The suite was large & lovely; a lot of thought has gone into anticipating & providing everything one might require. Terrific restaurants nearby. We can hardly wait to return for an extended stay!

This was our 2nd visit to the resort, but it has gone way downhill since it is no longer affiliated with Celebrity Resorts. A deep cleaning, new furniture, and a change of management would only go a little ways toward fixing the problems at this place. I'm well aware of the differences between hotel and condo service, but it was news to me that I couldn't get a clean set of room towels during my stay because I'd only reserved 5 nights (instead of 7). I know the construction next door is not their fault, but since it's been going on for 4 months, I should have been told when I reserved the room. Maybe they could have put my family in a room on the other side of the building (the place was more than half empty) but instead, I got to spend my vacation awakened at 7:00am by power tools and hammers 15 feet from my bedroom window. This was one of the worst lodging experiences I have ever had - and I was a travel agent for 15 years and thought I'd seen it all! To top it off, when we checked out a day early because we couldn't take it any more (and we took special care to get out long before the 10:00am check-out time), the manager had the nerve to charge me for a night we wouldn't be staying! What a jerk! The best thing about this place is its location - but since there are many other choices close by on the same beach, you won't have to suffer the way my family did. Take my advice - if you have to spend more money to sleep in a TENT, you'll be better off - just drive right past THIS place. What a waste of time and money.
