Travelodge Lake George Route 9, Lake George

My husband and I stayed with our two young adult daughters at this Travelodge at the end of June. The rooms, although probably decorated in the late 1970s and a bit small, were extremely clean. The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. The outdoor swimming pool was clean, the parking area well lit, the coffee in the lobby was fresh, and the Continental Breakfast was exactly as promised. Just a side note: We stayed on the pool side of the motel, as did a rather noisy extended family with several young children who were called to often by there parents. If you want a serene, quiet stay, choose the Lake/Mountain Side, which offers a beautiful view and much less family activity.

When our original plans to stay at Colonel Williams Resort were changed (due to the snotty attitude of the owners), my wife and I, and our 4 friends, found ourselves looking for a room for the night. We stopped here to check the prices, and were greeted by the kind and friendly staff. They let us check out the rooms to see if we liked them, and even gave us a 10% discount on the rate since we were getting 3 rooms. We were able to check in at 9:30 AM, and take part in the free continental breakfast (bagels, cereal, pastries, coffee & juice). Like the other reviews said, there are not coffee pots or refrigerators in the rooms, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The rooms were clean, and the beds were comfy, and the staff was polite and courteous. My family and friends would be happy to stay here again on our next trip to Lake George.

The staff was very friendly. Facility is outdated. There is no coffee maker or refrigerator in the rooms. You have to go to the lobby if you want coffee. There is no breakfast to purchase. they offer cereal, toast & mini bagels, coffee & juice. No hot food. Internet does not extend to the rooms. You have to go to the lobby if you want to use your computer. There was a crack in the floor of the bathroom and it was moldy. Pets are allowed. Spend the extra money go somewhere else.

This was my second Travelodge hotel,first being Rhode Island . The location was perfect,can see the whole Lake George from there,a perfect place to stay. Inside the bathrooms had a old touch,No refrigirator.Coffee machine was at the reception instead of it being in each room. The breakfast was insufficient in quantity and still our group had to go out and eat outside because of it But overall,a ok place to stay

Everything in the hotel is nice and clean. The swimming-pool is large, but you must bring life jacket for your little one because the child end is 3' deep up to 5'. deep end 8' Hotel has a new playground (wooden boat). A very large round shape grill and picnic tables. Lobby: 24 hrs. coffee (decaf & reg.), tea and hot chocolate milk. free newspaper for guest and the people at the front desk are very, very pleasant. Restaurant. Not sure I didn't eat there, but I heard a guest that was excellent. The new price is $7.95 BF buffet. Rooms clean, no bugs, clean bathroom, 2 double beds, clean, clean. The Problem...... The hotel has central air condition, and you don't have a way to control the temperature in your room, and I think that they turned off the AA at night, or it's very low. I complained about 4 AM because this, but he couldn't do anything. He brought me a fan, and it refreshed the room. We stayed there july 30 and 31 2005 (2 nights)
