Red Ranch Motel, Catskill

Very convenient and quiet - Owners were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Lots to do at the Motel in the summer, and it's very very affordable. Highly recommend it if you're visiting Catskill and wanting a nice place to stay off the main roads.

If your looking for a nice place to stay for a good price this is it. There are other inns in the area where food is included but this hotel is great if you just want to explore the area at your own pace. The prices is very reasonable for the quality of the room.

The rooms are nice; it has air conditioning (many inns and hotels in the area don't) and cable tv with a lot of channels.

The outside has stuff like a ping-pong table; outdoor pool; game room; and playground area for kids.

There are also adjoining rooms upon request so if you go with other families you can open the door between them.

Some tips for the area: Bring a fly swatter in the summer. It's a pain in the neck if a fly gets in your room. The hotel is near a wooded area so flys are common.

Bringing your own towels for the pool is a good idea. The ones for the shower are not the best towels for a pool.
