7 reviews for Seven Hills Inn, Lenox
not what i expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/08
I liked the location - close to The Mount and the Shakespeare facility as well as Lenox. However, for the price I expected 5 star service and got 2. The place needs a lot of work and money to charge the rates they do. I met a fellow traveler later who expressed the same sentiment.

Very excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
I loved the atmosphere most of all. It is definately a beautiful old country inn. The staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything. I will definately be going back!

LOVE IT!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/06
The inn is very quaint, very Berkshires. It's filled with antiques, including hand-carved furniture that was custom made for the original owner, old, wide-plank pine floors, 10 fireplaces... very romantic! The rooms are not brand new, which apparently some people find offensive, but they're exactly what one would expect in a historic hotel: wood floors, 4-poster beds, pretty floral wallpaper... The area is also fabulous, as there are so many cultural and historic places to go, to see. The staff was very accommodating to us and very polite. It's a very laid back place, not uppity, and it is a beautiful hotel to stay in.

Nice place but I wouldn't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/06
This place was quiet and the grounds were beautiful and very well landscaped. It has an old Edwardian summer home type of feel to it. We stayed in the Carriage house, which was clean and the room was large. My only real complaint was that there was no restaurant and the breakfast was very plain.

Mold, mildew, and little else
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/06
We stayed at Seven Hills for a family member's wedding that was held on the property. If it hadn't been for the wedding, we wouldn't have stayed one minute in our moldy, dreadful smelling room. The mildew and mold were bad enough to make your eyes water. The air conditioner did little.(It would probably have helped if they changed the filter every now and then.) The bathroom was absolutely substandard--soap dish hanging off the wall, cheap, motel-type towels, peeling vinyl and paint, and none too clean. I suspect that the last review written was done by a shill. There is nothing good to say about this place. Even the staff seems worn down by the complaints, which must be endless. Just as an aside to brides considering a wedding here--the a/c in the dining room didn't work properly, and the powder room was a complete mess. I asked the front desk staff to please at least empty the waste bin in the bathroom, but they couldn't be bothered. Drive on by if you can. I was stuck, but you don't have to be.

We really can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/06
The seven hills inn is an excellent place to spend your vacation and provides an ideal location close to the centr of Lenox and many of the attractions the area has to offer. The hotel is beautiful and offers an excellent restaurant, nice pool and comfortable rooms. My family and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to have a wonderful experience in the Berkshires.

Seven Hills
By Angelique, 03/28/06
The front desk was more than accomodating...romantic, quaint place.Excellent resteraunt and grounds that are unusual for a hotel. great for weddings, secluded but not too...with a mysterious ghostly feeling to it...I had a wonderful time and would go there again.
